I wouldn't hold your breath, or anything, but you might be seeing a new chapter on "Lost Tales of My Father" sometime soon! :) It feels good to be writing again... Minyasta All of my stories concerning Faramir (Lost Tales of My Father, Shattered, and Into Shadow) are one large, inter-connected story. I have developed a "canon" of my own for my Faramir stories, and I strive to be consistent throughout. For instance, something that happens to Faramir in Shattered or Into Shadow will have happened in the past in Lost Tales of My Father. You don't need to read all of them to be able to understand the individual plot lines, but there may be references between them at times--which I hope my more devoted readers will pick up on! Thank you, and happy reading! Random Story Ideas That May Or May Not Ever Be Written: -- "Nine For Mortal Men" -- (LotR) "To Men he gave nine, for Men proved in this matter as in others the readiest to do his will. Those who used the Nine Rings became mighty in their day, kings, sorcerers, and warriors of old. They obtained glory and great wealth, yet it turned to their undoing..." -- "Till Death" -- (LotR) When Faramir and Eowyn exchanged their wedding vows, they committed themselves to one another. Neither of them had any idea of how deep a commitment it would become... -- "Captain of Gondor" -- (LotR) They depended on him as their leader, their guide through the darkness that slowly crept upon Gondor. He was their champion, their hero. He was the one they trusted. He was the one they would give their lives for. They could never have known that he was as lost as their were... -- "Twilight" -- (LotR) The quality of a man's life is shown in the lives he touches, the people he changes forever. Faramir, Captain of Gondor, has shown his quality. He saved a nation, brought courage to Gondor, and guided its people through eight decades of strife and difficulty. Now it is time for his nation to repay him. -- "The One Whom I Trust" -- (LotR) (AU) "Do you wish then that our places had been exchanged?" "Yes, I wish that." If Denethor had sent Faramir rather than Boromir to the Council of Elrond at Imladris, would he have refused the Ring, or would he have suffered the same tormented fate as his beloved brother? Would Gandalf have perished? Would Frodo and Sam have gone into Mordor alone? This story plunges deep into the heart of these questions in a retelling of Tolkien's wonderful tale with a twist that may turn the Fellowship down a better path, or may plunge Middle-Earth into darkness forever... -- "Faramir, Prince of Harad" -- (LotR) (AU) Faramir, second son of Steward Denethor of Gondor, and Esfandiar, second son of Amir Javad of Harad, were exchanged at birth to prevent the outbreak of war between their two nations. Unlike Esfandiar, however, Faramir was never told the truth about his Gondorian heritage. He believes himself to be the full-blood son of Amir Javad, and when the heir to the Amirate dies unexpectedly, things are set in motion that may reveal to Faramir his hidden ancestry. My favorite book series and subsequently my favorite fandom is The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.Tolkien. Faramir forever holds my heart as my favorite LotR character--he is also, unsurprisingly, my favorite fanfiction subject. Other favorites, in no particular order, include: Aragorn, Pippin, Boromir, Gandalf, Legolas, Merry, Beregond, Gimli, Elrohir, Elladan, Glorfindel, Thranduil... Oh, heck, I love 'em all! I know a lot about The Lord of the Rings, but I could never claim to know all. There is always more to learn. If there is ever an inaccuracy in my stories, please let me know! I would be very happy to fix something that I had wrong.
