All of my stories concerning Faramir (Lost Tales of My Father, Shattered, and Into Shadow) are one large, inter-connected story. I have developed a "canon" of my own for my Faramir stories, and I strive to be consistent throughout. For instance, something that happens to Faramir in Shattered or Into Shadow will have happened in the past in Lost Tales of My Father. You don't need to read all of them to be able to understand the individual plot lines, but there may be references between them at times--which I hope my more devoted readers will pick up on! (LotR) (AU) Faramir, second son of Steward Denethor of Gondor, and Esfandiar, second son of Amir Javad of Harad, were exchanged at birth to prevent the outbreak of war between their two nations. Unlike Esfandiar, however, Faramir was never told the truth about his Gondorian heritage. He believes himself to be the full-blood son of Amir Javad, and when the heir to the Amirate dies unexpectedly, things are set in motion that may reveal to Faramir his hidden ancestry.

My favorite book series and subsequently my favorite fandom is The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.Tolkien. Faramir forever holds my heart as my favorite LotR character--he is also, unsurprisingly, my favorite fanfiction subject. Other favorites, in no particular order, include: Aragorn, Pippin, Boromir, Gandalf, Legolas, Merry, Beregond, Gimli, Elrohir, Elladan, Glorfindel, Thranduil... Oh, heck, I love 'em all!

I know a lot about The Lord of the Rings, but I could never claim to know all. There is always more to learn. If there is ever an inaccuracy in my stories, please let me know! I would be very happy to fix something that I had wrong.

Eltarma - "Star Pillar" - Elvencapital in Ithilien, located to the west of Ithilduin; named for the pillar-shaped fountain in the center of the city which sparkles like hundreds of stars in the sunlight

Eryndil - "Lover of Woods" - son of Bergil and grandson of Beregond; Captain of the White Company; named after the woods in Ithilien where he was born and raised (LToMF)

Esfandiar - name taken from a character in Persian epic "Shahnameh" - High Amir of Haradwaith (LToMF)

Faramith - "Grey Hunter" - member of Elven Council of Ithilien; son of Thranduil of Mirkwood; brother of Legolas (LToMF)

Glutazh - orc captain from Mordor - This name is supposedly in the Black Speech, but since there are so few words recorded of the Black Speech, it doesn't really mean much of anything. It sounds like an orc name, though, right? (LToMF)

Imeryn - "Between Woods" - capital cityin Emyn Arnen of the princedom of Ithilien; named for the vale in which it sits, upon either side of which there is a hill crested with a ring of trees

Ithilduin - "Moon River"- Elven city in Ithilien, located near Imeryn; named for the river which floods its streets and reflects the moon at night

Krismoth - "Cleaving Dusk" - member of Elven Council of Ithilien (LToMF)

Laurelinde - "Golden Singer" - daughter of Aragorn and Arwen, wife of Elboron, and mother of Barahir; named after Lothlorien (Laurelindorenan) where her great-grandmother Galadriel lived (LToMF)

Massoud Amjad - name is Persian for "Fortunate," "Prosperous," "Happy" - Harad emissary to Gondor; killed by Elboron (LToMF)
