Author has written 4 stories for Person of Interest.

Writing these books has been so much fun to do. I know it's hard to wait for the chapters to come out. It's a slow process to plan, research and write them. I have a more-than-full-time job, too, that I love. That job allows me to travel the world and see the people and places that I write about. So then I can bring them to you. I love that Reese and Harold have gone global in their search for Greer. And the Machine has never been constrained to Manhattan, either -- its reach has been global from the beginning. That was the whole point, to sift through data from everywhere in the world, looking for patterns and clues. Once found, the clues revealed the bad guys before they could do harm.

I've started Book 4 now even though Book 3 isn't complete yet, but I believe that they can travel together, side-by-side. Truth be told, I was hungry to see where the story would go with the characters from Book 1. If you recall, Book 1 wrapped around Books 2 and 3 in time. Books 2 and 3 are filling in the time and events left unsaid in Book 1. This new volume, Book 4, is the follow-on to the end of Book 1. Everyone has arrived intact (well, except for one), but our heroes are struggling. The toll of everything that has gone on before has been high for each of them. People were lost along the way: Nathan Ingraham, Arthur Claypool, Detective Carter. Harold has lost Grace, too, far off in Rome, unaware of their lives together, her memories stolen from her by Greer. Harold has thrown himself into his work, but there is a hole in his heart that he can't ignore.

And Reese, too, has had more than his share of loss. He had come to a place where the weight he carried from all that he had done in his past -- in the Rangers, in black ops for the CIA, plus his own losses -- it was all too much to bear. He nearly sacrificed himself. But someone reached out to catch him in his free-fall. Someone is helping him find his way again, guiding him to see himself as he really is.

Root and Shaw have found a little peace between them, for the moment. Lionel is a bit worse for wear.

Don't you just love these characters? I want them to go on and on. They have much they can show us. I hope that you are along for the ride, too.

Book 3 is just starting. We begin a new part of the adventure. Nearly everyone limped away from the last meeting with Greer, injured, and they all need some time to recover. Harold gave Reese strict orders not to go after Greer by himself. Reese doesn't agree, but he and his Team aren't ready. And Greer is hiding in a place that Reese and his Team can't get to. They'll have to wait for a better time. They were ambushed by Greer's people, and now it's time to plan how to even the score.

Welcome back for Book 3. Thanks for reading.

An update:

So, I'm changing my mind. Not sorry... :) I thought I would be able to cover all the goings-on for the Team in the years 2014-2016, with just a peek into 2017 in Pointillist. But, I'm having so much fun writing it, that it kinda got away from me. I'm already nearly 100,000 words into Pointillist, and I'm just in December of 2014!!! Oh well. The story is the story, and if you can bear with me, I'm going to spread the story across another book. That way, I can keep it going, and squeeze all the delicious, nutritious juice from it. I love these characters. I want you to know them like I do, in my head and heart.

I want to thank those of you -- all over the world -- who take the time to leave a message, tell me your concerns, let me see if I'm getting everything in my head onto the page, so you can see it, too. I feel like the Citizen of the World that I've always dreamed of being. You are like pen pals all over the world. That means so much to me...

So, think of Pointillist covering the year 2014, and Pointillist II starting in 2015. I don't know how the timing will all work out, but we'll adapt. Also, it would be great to hear from you about the music. Do you like it? Are you finding it out there on the Internet, so you can play it behind the story, when you are reading the chapters? The music has a big part in how the story meanders and unfolds. And so many wonderful vocalists and musicians to cite! Hope you love them, too.

I'm trying to stay true to (most of) the characters in the show, but I know some of you may be dismayed at the way I've bent them to this story. And some of you may be uncomfortable with some aspect of this story (violence, adult themes, etc.). The story is the story.

Thank you, again, for your reading, your comments, your support, and your many languages from all over the world. Merci!!!

Finished Saving the Saviors and that was so fun to write and share. Now, I'm moving forward to a second book, Pointillist. If you think of Saving the Saviors as bookends on a shelf, Pointillist will be all the stuff in the middle, between the ends. It goes into the personal stories, the struggles, of each of our beloved characters. It shows how they work together, how they learn to trust and depend on each other, or not, as the case may be. This is the story of how the Team goes after Samaritan, and Greer, who has left a swath of destruction behind him. Time for some payback...

Hope you enjoy!

Original Profile:

This is my first time writing for a fan fiction site - I didn't even know you existed until I started writing this story for Person of Interest. I loved the show and was crushed when it was canceled. The only thing worse was the way it ended. I still can't watch the last episodes. So, I said "that's it! I'm going to write my own ending!" And I did - the first time I've done anything like that. I was a writer when I was a kid - loved sci-fi, and wrote little stories all the time for fun. But I haven't written anything else for many years.

I realized as I was writing my story that what I was really doing was creating a character, Jules, who would be able to do what I had wanted to do when I was watching the show. It was hard to see the trauma that the characters endured, without being able to help them. I could see a way to save them, and that is why I wanted to write the story. I know that Reese, Finch, Shaw, Fusco and Root have so much more that they can show us, if the Producers go on to make movies (hint, hint) of the show, but they needed to be rescued from the ending first. So, I re-wrote the ending to send it in a new direction.

I grew up in beautiful Upstate New York, and I am sure you can tell that I love the Fall in Upstate NY. The scenes of the rivers and lakes were right from my childhood there, and the time I spent as a Computer Systems Programmer for more than a decade gave me the background to enjoy the geek-ness of Finch's world of AI. Later on, I became a doctor and have worked for two decades as a physician. And yes, those unusual techniques that Jules uses with Reese and Finch to reach them in their traumatized states are things I do in my own practice every day. I love that mix of traditional and non-traditional medicine. The Martial Arts scenes are from my own experience as well.

Especially with Reese, I felt it was so important for the story line that he be shown coming back from the darkness that he had entered. He was in a dark place because of all of the terrible things he had done, even though most of it was sanctioned by a higher authority and he was doing it to protect us. There is a cost, though, to do that work, and it was clear that the show was not going to show him coming back from the dark place - they let him sacrifice himself. I wanted to show what it would take to bring him back, so that he could put his choices into perspective and find a way to move forward. I needed a character who had already been there and was able to come back, someone who could guide Reese away from a path that would otherwise lead to his death. He couldn't see how to live with himself. It was only a matter of time before he sacrificed himself if left without help. Jules had been there and could help Reese find his way out if it. He tried to heal - he dedicated himself to helping people - so single-minded, throwing himself into his role working for Harold. He could do something good again, try to make amends.

Think of people in your own lives who have been in situations like that: soldiers, police, FBI/CIA, and even everyday helpers like firemen, nurses, doctors, all of them dealing with the trauma of cleaning up the debris humans make when bad things happen. When his emotional trauma is not attended to, anyone can fall into a dark place and get left behind. This story is about how to save those who were left behind, those we loved from the show - thus, saving the saviors.

Anyway, that's a little bit of insight into my world, and why I wrote this story. I have loved writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it. I love deeper character development like the British detective shows do so well (thinking of series like Luther, The Tunnel, and The Fall as examples). And I love the multi-lingual, multi-cultural parts of the story. It's much more about seeing the characters as complex, layered human beings, rather than the shoot-em-up, bang-bang, and car chase scenes of American TV.

Thanks for reading.

A chance, no matter how negligible, is still a chance. This is a fact not lost on the Machine. If anyone could survive the final showdown with Samaritan, it would be John Reese. He just didn't know it at the time.

G reviews
G is Book 4 of the series. It's the follow-on of Saving the Saviors, and finds all of the characters from the show arriving in present day, intact. Several are worse for wear, and more pressure is likely to come. Forces that would take all that is dear to Finch are at work. Some from the show have returned with expanded roles, and new characters from the first book return in G.

Saving the Saviors reviews
For fans of Person of Interest, I couldn't let it end that way on the show. So, my version is done now. Lots of twists and turns. Adventure, courage, loyalty, heartache, redemption. It's a long story. Get ready to go places you aren't expecting. Put the cat out; put the kettle on. Sit back in a comfortable chair. Enjoy Saving the Saviors.

Pointillist reviews
Just completed this second book. Classic POI, with all the people we love from the show, and a case that moves across the Pond, to Europe, Asia, and more. Lots of Reese and his mayhem twin, Shaw. Harold and Root team up with some familiar characters from the show to take down Samaritan. A deep dish of delicious. Rated T for all the right reasons... More coming soon, in Book 3: P2.
