Hello there! Previously known simply as "Aoi Umi," I have tacked on a sophisticated surname so as to sound more sophisticated. (Tongue in cheek.) This is actually a compromise to make up for the fact that I can't stand the name Aoi Umi any longer.

As you can see, my account is pretty old, and I like to think it's a venerable thing to have been a fangirl for such a large portion of my life. (Er, that's your call.) I like to think my writing has improved with age (but that is, again, your call), so please keep that in mind should you feel like viewing my older pieces. In case you are wondering, I call 1987 my approximate origin point.

What type of writer am I? Well, I can't help but respect canon for the most part, and build upon it lovingly. You won't see anything crazy here, but hopefully you'll find some pieces that have some meaning to you and/or entertainment value. I might be difficult to categorize, but I think my favorite thing to write is comedy. In pairings (romantic or otherwise), it's probably accurate to say that one thing I enjoy in particular is exploring aspects of classic introvert/extravert tension.
