Author has written 4 stories for One Piece, Naruto, Love Hina, and High School DxD/ハイスクールD×D. Not sure what to say about myself... I don't really feel like making those huge lists that other people usually make that tell us about what they like, what manga/anime they like, or their favorite pairings. I'll keep it simple. Call me Astray71. Please recognize that this is ASTRAY and NOT ASHTRAY. I don't know why, but ever since I've had this username, people misread it. Now, instead of listing the anime series' that I've watched, people who read this can PM me a series that they like and if I've watched it before, I'll write a small review on my page about it. If I haven't watched it, I'll start it up and take a look at it. I've watched a lot of anime so try to find a series that I haven't watched :) I'll start us off... My favorite anime series would be Code Geass. It was recommended to me by a friend back in... 2007 or 2008 I believe. "The only one's that should kill are the one's who are ready to be killed." - Lelouch Lamperouge. In an alternate universe to the one we live in, Britannia, the Euro Universe, and the Chinese Federation are the three major superpowers and they each control their individual chunks of land that basically span to the far edges of the globe. A few outlying countries remain independent to the great powers (to what purpose? I have no idea, but I would assume for business practices), namely Japan in this case. So the entire plot revolves around Lelouch, our badass heroine, who is attempting to avenge his mother, the queen, who was assassinated likely due to her being a commoner by birth. Throughout this quest, Lelouch forms his own military force and rebels against Britannia, a country where "men are not equal" and where "the strong feed upon the weak". Through lies, deception, and hiding his face behind a mask, Lelouch recreates the world anew. I think that was decently written, though the last line seems really out of place... oh well. The story line was definitely unique. I think what makes it so enjoyable, is that it has everything in it so that everyone gets a taste of what they enjoy in an anime. The characters are really well thought out and they're all placed into positions so that you can learn more about them. Uh... the music was pretty well done. I have some of the OSTs on my iPhone. The artwork was nicely drawn with nothing out of proportion. You can probably tell that I'm just going down the list of things I need to go through, but whatever. Point is, everyone should give this anime a go if you haven't already. |
