![]() Author has written 4 stories for Inuyasha, Red Eye, and Priest. I'm back after another long hiatus. I've come back to finish what I've started. I'm also adding stories that I wrote several years back when I was on a big Inu Yasha kick. I guess I'll tell you a little about myself. I live in the big square state of Colorado with my husband and two year old son. I write fanfiction off and on (hopefully more on that off now) because I like to exercise my alternate story line demons to works other more talented people originally came up with. There's just something fun about twisting other people's ideas into my own versions. I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it. I write alternate story lines that contain a lot of angst, sexual tension and dark imagery. It's ironic considering my real life lifestyle. A good movie quote that embodies this contradiction is, "If I wasn't such a bad woman on the page, I couldn't be such a good woman in life." Quills With work, child rearing and being a wife, I don't get a lot of time to work on stories and those have been the biggest reasons that I took such a long hiatus from my in-progress stories. But as my son gets a little older, he's learning to self play and has given me a little bit more spare time. Thus I'm back, though it will probably be limited. I'll just go ahead and apologize for slow updates and short chapters now. It's not nor has it ever been my intention to cause anyone anxiety or irritation on my lack of story progress. Sorry guys. Ok, all seriousness aside. I love my readers and reviewers. I have never held back on updates to my stories due to a lack of reviews. I'll never hold a story hostage if I'm not getting any reviewer lovin. I've had a couple requests from readers asking me what kind of fiction I like to read. Seems like a reasonable thing to want to know from someone who's fan fiction you're reading so here goes: Currently reading: A Song of Ice and Fire series, fifth book - My favorite aspect of Martin's writing is his superb character development. While fantasy is not a genre I normally read (the HBO series led me to reading them) I would give these books a 4 of 5. Drawbacks: occasionally far too in depth description and long stretches between something significant happening (consequence of very strong character development I think). Recently read: A Dog's Purpose: Good book but one I never would have picked up myself. My sister insisted I read it, even threatened withholding a visit if I didn't. I hate reading books about dogs because, while they can be as good as any other story, the dog always dies in the end and I bawl like a baby. (Makes me think of the mortality of my own dogs) Hunger Games: Loved the first book. Liked the second book. Third book was... meh. (Don't hate me for it, it's just personal taste.) The Strain: Interesting take on vampires. Picked it up in an airport bookstore before a long trip. I liked it all right. Good airplane reading but I'll reserved judgment till I read the rest of the series. Pride and Prejudice: Read this every few years. One of my all time favorites. I, Claudius: Unbelievably good historical fiction. It's a long read for when you are willing to seriously think about what you are reading. Anyone that enjoys historical fiction, this is a must read. I can't believe now that it took me so long to check it out. Some notables from my past (distant past to recent): Dr. Seuss, all Douglas Adams, Earth's Children series, first few books of the Vampire Chronicles, a few Stephen King novels, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, Everything by Robin Cook, The Sun Also Rises, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, all Emily Brontë Works, All Jane Austen works, (long dry spell in college where I mostly read non fiction), The Secret Life of Bees, The Da Vinci Code, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The Notebook, etc etc etc. Far more than this but listing them all seems silly. I think you have an idea of my tastes. For every good book I read, I read three duds it seems. The least favorite books I've read lately (don't hate me, they just weren't for me and were pushed on me by my sister in law), Twilight. I didn't even finish reading the final book and I NEVER do that. Thanks for reading my stories and good luck in finding fan fiction that tickles your fancies.
