Author has written 4 stories for Batman Begins/Dark Knight, and Sin City. I deleted the old profile, so here is the new one. I've left all the updates, though, so you can see things like why I decided on a new OC, for instance, or exactly how long it took me to write Heart of Glass (EPICALLY long time). Please use wisely. Protection from being sued: I don't own any canon characters in Gotham, including but not limited to Dr. Jonathan Crane, Rachel Dawes, Bruce Wayne/Batman, the Joker...ah, Harvey Dent...Jim Gordon. I think that's it, but like I said, "not limited to". I also don't own any of Sin City, aside from Cherry. She's all mine, just like Jane Savary, Angel Adlam and her mother, Marie Adlam, Daniel Cameron and his wife Mrs. Cameron, that poor boy James and that nurse Maggie. And that orderly who appeared in Lucid Dreamer for a few lines named Mr. Burlington. There was also an annoyed nurse whom I just remembered; she was rude to Jane, so she doesn't get a name. I think that's it for OCs...if anyone wants to play with any of them, just ask. Please read responsibly and review! -nH Nov. 15/05 - Update Alright, I thought I'd announce that I am currently working on a companion piece for Lucid Dreamer from Angie's point of view. Not a sequel, per se, as it mainly deals with the very different way Angie sees Crane. The story of how they met, her much more pleasant first experiences as his patient. It's called Heart of Glass. Also, to Bear Bum, this silly site has no way for me to contact you, since I'm not allowed to post another review of the same chapter of your (very promising!)story. Hopefully you'll check my profile soon, as this again silly site has the show-email function disabled as a default and I can't find your addy either. I've fixed mine, though, so you should be able to find it if you look again. I thought I'd had it enabled, but alas, no. Anonymous reviews have also been enabled for me, and we'll just have to see if I get spammed relentlessly. The spam-bots do love my scent. I am going to post the first chapter of Heart of Glass soon, tonight, if possible. Hope to see my faithful fellow writers there! Oh yes, and I should add Dr.Daniel Cameron (and his invisible wife) to my list of original characters. Sly one, he is. Keep your eye on him. - nH Mar. 8/07 - Update So, it's been a long time, and although I still work on fanfiction fairly frequently, nothing complete or relevant enough to post has arrived from my fevered brain. With regards to Heart of Glass, I don't know if this could possibly be a problem, but I thought I should mention that the titles of the later chapters are from Nine Inch Nails' Hurt. I'd never dream of ripping that guy off, since he has started to work out and can now easily decapitate me with one hand. In fact, I'm even afraid to say his name, like he's a musical Jabberwocky. This has been my disclaimer, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. -nH Nov. 23/07 - Update It's been a long time again! Sorry about that, and I am trying to work through Heart of Glass. In the meantime, I've got a new fanfic regarding Sin City, the movie, even though I didn't love the movie. It's rated M, so beware! This one should be finished quickly, at least. Sometimes you just need something a bit different. DisclaimerCity: I do not own Sin City, or any of its canon characters, including but not limited to the Salesman, Miho, Dwight, Gail, Wendy or Jackie Boy. I do own Cherry. She's no Jane, but if you want to play with her, let me know. Working title is 'The Blood-Red Juice of the Pomegranate'. Sounds more Dario Argento than Frank Miller, but so what. Read, please, and hopefully enjoy. -nH Aug. 12/08 - Update Yet another long time! I have finally started work on Heart of Glass again, and I'm beginning work on another Gotham story involving none other than the Joker. Heart of Glass is speaking to me once more, and soon we will come to some sort of agreement about this lack-of-inspiration thing I've got going on. I can see the end of it now. Things are heating up! Stay tuned, and please review all you can! -nH November 4/08 - Update Razorblade Smile is well underway, and I've also started Beta-reading for another talented author, BlueRaposa. Her story is called Here and There, and it's a nine-part look at the rise of the great Catwoman in Nolan's Gotham City. Have a look, everyone! There aren't enough Catwoman stories, and this author does a fine job of painting the life of a rising criminal, from childhood on. I heartily recommend that you read and review this too! -nH January 6/09 - Update Happy New Year, all! A quick update; BlueRaposa's story, Here and There, has been retitled Sister's Keeper. I also want to reiterate that I don't own any of Gotham's canon characters, but I do, as a fanfic author, reserve the right to play with their characterization. As do we all. Particularly if it's a Nolan-centric story and the new characterization is in keeping with that new universe. I hope I don't have to explain further. If anyone actually reads this thing, I'm still open to suggestions for character and atmosphere songs. That goes for both fandoms I write in: Sin City and Nolan's Gotham. PM me if you have a fancy idea! -nH January 27/09 - Update I'm sorry to announce that since I've just started college, Razorblade Smile updates are about to become a bit less frequent. I'm not giving up, though, don't you worry. I may have plans for a sequel, no less. And please realize that when I request reviews, in no way am I threatening to stop writing if I don't get enough - that would be scandalously selfish and conceited of me, and I would never do that. I write because I love it, not because 3oo+ reviews will get me into heaven or some crazy thing like that. Honestly, who does that? Jeez. -nH |
