I first read Pride & Prejudice at age 15 when I saw it listed as one of the books you're 'supposed to read' before college, and nothing's topped it for me since. It was the gateway to all romance, and Mr. Darcy became the yardstick by which I measured every boy I ever dated. (Most of them fell pretty short... bet that's no surprise.)

I was in college when I saw Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle bring my favorite people to life and they've been in my head ever since. I wrote my first Jane Austen fan fiction stories in early 2017 and finally achieved a long-time dream by completing my first full-length novel that same spring. I got some great constructive criticism from this community on that story, and I've learned a lot.
