whaphin (waa-fin)(n.) a fictional aqautic mammal created by members of a certain girls' high school swim team. Whaphins are a combination of a whale and a dolphin. More specifically, the upper body of an orca whale and the lower body of a bottle-nose dolphin. They are solitary creatures and were once believed to be the ultimate hunters by the swim team. Science, however, has not yet created such a creature, so at this time, the truth behind this knowledge is indeterminable.
