First I broke down and wrote a Rayman fanfic. Now I've broken down again and gotten an account! Oh dear. :D

I've been making up stories for about as long as I can remember, and started writing them around 6th grade or so, and never turned back.I mostly write fantasy/science-fiction prose...random short stories and big ol' novels that my muse is determined not to let me finish. ever. Occasionally I ever go over to te dark side and write angsty!poetry (which is rarely meant to be angsty, but always turns out that way. Pah!) I'm uber-new to fanfiction, though. In fact, this little story that's kicking around here is the only real fanfiction I've ever attempted. It's still questionable whether it's going to amount to anything. :P

I've been a Rayman-fanatic ever since Rayman 2 first came out. It's the only Rayman game I've ever really played (except for a little of the R1 for Gameboy Color, but you can't really count that), and I've always been so intrigued by it...the world, the characters, the plot... there's just so much there to build on. Perfect for a first-time fanfiction.

"Point of Origin" is based solely on Rayman 2, and is basically a prologue to the game -an in-depth look at Rayman's past, how he got his powers, etc. I know it's been done before, but I wanted to put my own spin on it. (Oh, and there's bound to be some angst and dark moments. Because angsty prose is love.)
