The monster was probably already there when Thomas met Newt, sitting like a killer in wait, lounging around just behind the blonde boy's frontal lobe and biding its time until it was strong enough to make a difference. There was never Newt without the monster, not to Thomas. College AU. Newt has cancer AU. Slow burn, angsty. Chiefly NewtxThomas with slight Thomesa and Trenda.
