Nice to meet you all, even if we aren't really meeting. I won't reveal anything too personal about myself, but I am - in fact - a girl. I speak English as a first language, and I love to read and watch TV. This account will have a combination of cartoon, anime, and reading stories. I also reeally like video games, but don't expect to see any stories about them here. I have a best friend who is my polar opposite, but we somehow get along, despite the fact that she claims I'm annoying.

Updating, Writing, Reviewing, and Other Policies:

Updates - Unfortunately, I'm rather sporadic. I will update faithfully for a few weeks, and then I might lose my inspiration. Sorry, but that's just me, it's harder to write when unable to come up with anything. I also get a tiny bit depressed because I look back and read stuff and find all sorts of problems with my writings and etc... Anyway, if I'm late, just sit tight because it's coming.

I WILL NEVER ABANDON OR DISCONTINUE A STORY WITHOUT TELLING YOU FIRST! So don't ask. Also, when more stories come out, you'll find that I update them based on what I'm interested in. So if I update a newer story more often than an older one, don't get offended, it's coming, I'm just more interested in the newest source of entertainment and have more inspiration. PMs with questions about the above will be met with much the same answer. And I'm probably not dead, just saying.

Writing - First things first, I will NEVER write Yaoi, Yuri, Shounen Ai, Shoujo Ai, Slash, or M/M or F/F. Or tentacle or incest or things that are vaguely pedophile-ish. Nope, don't ask, don't request, just don't, please. I might write M-rated things at a later time, but there probably won't be anything like smut or explicit content because I'm not good at that stuff. It will turn out awkward and probably terrible. Just a warning for those that request it.

Reviewing - Guest reviews will be answered at the end of the next chapter. As will those of the people who have blocked the PM feature on their account. All the rest will be answered through PMs. If I don't respond to your review in a timely manner, it's because I'm not sure when I'll update next. I like to respond a little bit before I update so that my viewers don't have to wait so long between responses and new chapters. I don't really care about flames, I'll respond, but meh. Honestly, just don't flame, it isn't helpful. If you have an honest grievance or you noticed a plot hole or an OOC character that wasn't warned beforehand, then you can tell me without flaming. That's all I'll say about that. Otherwise, please feel free to review! Long ones or short ones, doesn't matter to me! They inspire me, so, if you want a faster update, then review away!

Changes with the Re-written Chapters of A Shadow in Wizard's Robes (Sorry if I miss details, but this is more for people who've already read and who might miss bigger things if they don't go back and read again):

Chapter 1:

- Shikamaru isn't so antagonistic towards Malfoy and is much more mature with the situation in general on the train.

- Shikamaru's going to try and get the hero worship towards Harry to go down a notch or five because he Does Not Approve.

- Shikamaru is more laid back and more of a troll than I had him characterized as before. Still able to get serious, though it'll be a running gag about him bemoaning his lot in life.

- Shikamaru's done lots of research on the wizarding world so he knows how to handle pure-bloods and stuff, and he's self-taught himself a lot of basic spells that could be used for things related to ninja skills, and potions.

- No shadows with his chakra. Sorry fans for it, I just didn't like where it was going, so no. His chakra just causes insomnia and more intense dreams. No evil battling for his soul.

- Instead of the Fred and George thing at the end, I moved it to the second chapter and replaced it with some interaction with the Slytherin first years and Snape.

Chapter 2:

- Shikamaru has a normal nightmare instead of one induced by that chakra thing that I made up. Yeah, I ditched that because I ended up disliking where it was going - nowhere. Yin chakra just causes some more intense nightmares for now.

- Shikamaru is much more snarky and introspective if that counts as a change to a single chapter.

- Shikamaru more or less stops the confrontation between Malfoy and Harry from happening instead of threatening Malfoy, and the two end up racing out of childishness instead of a stolen Remembrall.

- Shikamaru asked for a prank on a chosen subject after he gifts the smoke-pellets to Fred and George instead of wishing it on Ron.

- Hermione is present when the three boys sneak out at night, and Shikamaru consequently dubs the Golden Trio, the Idiot Trio.

Chapter 3:

- Whole lotta talking between Shikamaru and the Golden Trio. Neville is more included than before.

- Shikamaru goes to talk to Draco Malfoy, introducing himself to the entirety of the Slytherin common room in the process. No threats were issued, but he did hopefully provoke some thoughtfulness.

- There was no prank from Fred and George because Shikamaru talked to Malfoy instead.

- Shikamaru tells Harry and Ron about Snape’s ability to read their thoughts.

Chapter 4:

- Names are mentioned during the childhood scene, and it is confirmed that ex-Death Eaters are behind Shikamaru’s “therapy”. Also, there’s mention of a prophecy.

- Shikamaru establishes that he does, in fact, know who Harry Potter is.

- During the troll scene, Shikamaru sends Hermione and Harry off to find teachers because he finds himself cornered by the troll. Ron remains and tries to help. Snape saves the day by preventing the troll from falling on Shikamaru.

Chapter 5:

- Ron is not on a sugar high, and Shikamaru meets with Zabini, Bulstrode, and Nott to discuss what they owe him after he saved them. He meets Snape after this meeting.

- Shikamaru suspects that the Quirrell situation goes high up in Hogwarts. He isn’t wrong.

- Hagrid’s place will actually be a base-of-operations.

- Shikamaru doesn’t tell Harry, Hermione, and Ron about his meeting with the other three houses. He meets with these people. Slytherin: Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott, Milicent Bulstrode, Daphne Greengrass, Tracy Davis. Ravenclaw: Terry Boot, Anthony Goldstein, Marcus Belby. Hufflepuff: Cedric Diggory, Ernie Macmillan, Susan Bones. Gryffindor: Percy Weasley, Neville Longbottom. The group will investigate Quirrell and self-teach themselves to compensate for what he isn’t teaching them.

Chapter 6:

- Shikamaru is hopefully less OOC during this entire chapter.

- Shikamaru was not there when Harry told Ron about the break-in at Gringotts. Hermione knows about Fluffy.

- Shikamaru is not taking muggle coursework as well.

- Shikamaru does not meditate to sort himself out; he watches clouds.

- More snark and light-hearted sarcasm.

Chapter 7:

- I changed the introspective part at the beginning completely; I just felt that it didn't match Shikamaru’s personality. He is, in my opinion, more likely to grouse about the stupidity of people than to compare two completely separate worlds and judge the less harsh one.

- The prophecy from Trelawney is overheard by McNair, who tells Malfoy. Bad things begin to brew since the latter takes interest in Shikamaru.

- People notice that Shikamaru has been gone and ask the Golden Trio about him. Including those from the research group. But they don't tell about why they're asking.

- Shikamaru is not lost but wistful after twins are done yelling at him, because he misses Temari doing the same.

Chapter 8:

- Shikamaru is not happy with Dumbledore; he becomes more suspicious of his motives, but without any hard evidence or rational, he decides just to keep an eye on him.

- Silly me; they're not going to wage war on Quirrell...however, Shikamaru will do everything in his power to keep Harry safe, which may or may not include prison, death, or dismemberment. Severus has no idea what he's getting into.

- The Golden Trio joins the ‘inter-house study group’ temporarily, thinking that Shikamaru wrangled up some help from other Houses as a one-time thing, and have no idea that Shikamaru is building his own spy/info-network.

- Shikamaru goes to talk to Snape about the mirror, and Snape has a realization about how dangerous his student is. Albus had better be careful, because Shikamaru is so out of shits to give about other people that it isn’t even funny.

Chapter 9:

- Shikamaru takes two (2) part time jobs because I did not research England's minimum wage during the 90's last time, and now I feel a bit silly for assuming he could save much with only one job at a time. Thus, voila, waiter!Shikamaru as Winston!

- Shikamaru, instead of scaring Malfoy because I felt it would be redundant at this point, ensures a more permanent solution by teaching Neville some hand-to-hand defense, drilling him on strategy and situational awareness, and teaching him some higher level hexes and jinxes, because forget all of you, Neville should have had more moments to shine in canon.

- Changed Shikamaru's talk to the Gryffindors a bit

- Neville finally gets one-up on Malfoy. It's not prominent, but it's mentioned, and I'll try to keep the effects of that going.

- Fixed some details and OOC issues

Chapter 10:

- Not too many changes, just a brush-over, so you won't miss anything it you don't re-read it. Mostly just details, grammer, and other things to make it flow better. You don’t have to re-read it if you don’t want to, but I’d like it if you did.

Changes to 11:

- Re-wrote the first half of the childhood scene. I just didn’t like how expositional it felt, so. I hope it’s now more story, I guess? - in line with that, I changed Shikamaru’s age to early 30s when he was brought over. He had Shikadai pretty young - the epilogue is 15 years later, and Shikadai is looking at graduation pretty soon - I’m thinking Shikadai is about 14-15, so Shikamaru should be 34ish.

- Small fixes and details. Nothing too big.

Changes to 12:

- Minor details at first

- Rewrote the pixie scene because I feel like Shikamaru wouldn't even bother. Obviously, the Severus PoV was an extra too, because Lockhart would be the kind of person to brag about how noble and brave his students were in the face of such danger. XD
