Author has written 4 stories for My Little Pony, Pokémon, Gravity Falls, Simpsons, and Harry Potter. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about one of my stories, or if you just want to chat! I suppose that you want to know a bit about me, as you clicked the "Bio". Well good for you! I have always thought of the stories as the main reason one should read or write Fanfiction. I am quite flattered and honored that you'd like to know more about ole SnappyDragon! Now that all that's out o' the way, Hi! I'm SnappyDragon, but you can go ahead and call me Snappy, 'cause "SnappyDragon" is a bit hard to type. Something to remember about fanfictions: Stories aren't just books that were written by someone who's profession was being an author. They aren't just tales that span generations of telling. They are a peek inside the mind of the writers, what they thought, how they viewed life, the things they enjoyed. You see, anyone can write a story, just so long as you pour your heart and soul into it and do your level best! And I'm not just being overly optimistic, people, I'm telling you the truth. Go on, read a Fanfiction and compare it to a published book. The Fanfiction has everything the book has, minus a professional editor. Don't you see? As Gusteau from Ratatouille says "Anyone can cook", the same goes for writing. Anyone can write! Even MORE About Me: Wow! You guys STILL want to know more? Why, I hardly think I'm THAT interesting! Well, uh, let's see... 1. I enjoy writing, reading, playing outside, puzzle/adventure video games (Legend of Zelda and the like), drawing, playing pranks, watching cartoons, and generally having a good time! 2. My favorite food is pasta. Just pasta. Plain and pure; pasta can please. 3. My favorite color is either red or green. I can't decide. 4. I like any Disney song. Love 'em, even. 5. Ever since I watched Scar's song "Be Prepared" (The Lion King) as a little kid (and by extension, made my parents rewind the movie so I could watch the song again), I have had a strange and unusual liking towards villains. I think my love for them might be I like how evil they are, though I suppose that's not very explanatory... 6. I will do my best to complete all my stories Some tips and trix to writing a successful crossover that I've discovered: 1. Characters must be in character One of the biggest reasons people read crossovers is to see how one character reacts to/with another from a different story, game, etc. If any character does not act how they usually do, so in character, then this reason for reading the crossover in the first place is undermined. 2. Funny crossovers are often easiest to write and enjoy ...Especially when they involve at least one humorous/comedic medium. If ANYTHING takes itself too seriously, especially when it's of poor quality, it becomes stiflingly boring and a joke. Funny crossovers solve these problems, and can lighten the mood of an existing story/show/etc., making for an enjoyable and fun read. 3. Give a good reason for the crossover to take place, y'know, how a character from one story got put in with another from somewhere else No, I'm just kidding. That's impossible. This is just another reason for #2. 4. Make it well-written Good grammar, spelling, descriptions, etc. This sort of goes for anything, though, not just crossovers. It can help your story stand out in the seas of crappy fanfiction literature, however. |
