Author has written 10 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers, Star Wars, and Young Justice.

Hello! I'm Listenerofshadows, Listener, Shadow, whatever you wanna call me! I'm always up for a chat so dont hesitate to send me a PM!

I'm a big history buff, my favorite time period is particularly American colonial times/war of independence but I love any period in general. I try to keep my fanfics historically accurate as such. However, if you find something inaccurate please let me know, and do it in a polite way, I don't know everything and I don't mean to write something inaccurate especially since I research the heck out of things '

Things I won't write: Yuri/Yaoi. Sorry, it's just not my cup of tea. Also, I don't really care for cussing but in some situations it calls for it. So there may be some light cussing in my stories. Anything rated M and over, to me it just gets weird from there. This includes smut/sex scenes.

Things I will write: Historical stories, obviously. Some may be a silly skit like An American Gold Rush where I tried to introduce facts about the Calfornia gold rush in a fun way or more serious fics.

I am also interested in writing AUs. It's fun, I think, to imagine what a character would be like in a different setting. One thing fun about fanfiction is to see people's different takes on a character, and I think it particularly shows best in AUs where characteres are in a different universe than the canon one.

My take on OCS:

I have a really love-hate relationship with OCs in fanfiction. I think the main problem with them is that many fanfiction writers tend to make them mary-sues which turns people off. Many of these writers that have this tendacy also make mary-sues out of canon characters or have trouble with grammar/writing structures. So a lot of the problem is these writers are just inexperienced and don't realize how their OC turns people off. However, as you noticed I do have OCs in my fanfics xD (I'm a such a hypocrite) I try really hard to make these characters non-marysueish and as human as possible. If you find any signs of mary-sueish in my OCs, please alert me as soon as possible.

As such, I mainly write APH fics. I'm not sure if I'll post any chapter-length stories (though I have a few in the work) for fear of abandoning them xD I'm sticking to writing one-shots for now.

Completed Stories:

Howdy Partner!

Status: Oneshot, completed

Summary: "I believe it was an early Saturday morning when it happened. A truly, honest-to-goodness, authentic cowboy was standing outside of my doorframe. "Pardon me, mad'm. I was wondering if you could tell me kindly where I am," He murmured in a slow southern drawl, "I don't quite 'member what I'm doing here for." He looked away from me and that's when I realized what I had on. Prompt.

Genres: Humor, Friendship/Family

Characters: Featuring a dazed and confused 1800s!Texas OC, the awesome time-traveling nation America and a quite ordinary, normal US Citizen OC caught up in the midst of this. Small cameo on the phone by the angry "I-told-you-not-mess-with-my-inventions-because-humans-are-not-advanced-enough" alien known as Tony.

An American Gold Rush

Status: Oneshot, completed

Summary: "California's got gold!" Alfred cried out, "Tons of it! You can literally pluck from the ground there!" "Vee! that's so amazing, Mr. America!" Italy popped into the conversation. "And you're just letting anyone take the gold?" "Of course! Finders keepers, losers weepers as they say!"

Genres: Humor, Friendship/Family

Characters: Enthusiastic Cocky America, Determined gold digger China (and his sidekick, hesitant Taiwan), SoCal and NorCal OCs, and Italy.

Two sides of a coin

Status: drabble, completed

Summary: A 2p is a bit harder to explain, because while they also represent a country's people, the people they represent are the lawbreakers. Drabble.

Genre: Drama...I guess? xD (It's more of an explanation of a headcanon than anything else)

Looking through the rose-colored spectacles

Status: Oneshot, completed

Summary: Most assume that America's glasses are indeed the representation of Texas, one of his many states. He had admitted to the allies once that they were Texas, right? Well, when the said-person suddenly shows up to a meeting to deliver some papers to the country, it appears there's quite a different reason for his glasses. Headcannons galore!

It's the thought that counts

Matthew peered from underneath his pillow blearily. In that moment, there was a loud crash that came from the kitchen. Belated Canada Day birthday fanfic.

Genre: Friendship and Humor

Characters: featuring the unamused, grumpy polar bear otherwise known as Kumajiro, frustrated-I'm-gonna-curl-up-and-cry America and forgetful/kind Canada.

Up-coming Stories:

Never Last

Status: In progress, will release as soon as I have enough backup chapters.

Wish upon a Star

Status: Brainstorm idea, possible future multi-chapter.

Summary: Ever since the Revolutionary War, Alfred and Arthur have never fully mended their relationship. After another pointless argument between them, the two find themselves wishing upon a shooting star that the other knew what it had been like back then, from their point of view of the war. Be careful for what you wish for, because it might very well become true. For a benevolent being decides to grant the two's wish, placing them in alternate universe where roles have been reversed. Reversed-Roles AU, no pairings! Brotherly love.

Genre: Family, Hurt/comfort, drama

When Tomorrow Comes

Status: Brainstorm idea, possible future multi-chapter (thirteen chapters from start to finish)

Summary: Alfred didn't want to go to war. Either did his colonists. Throwing tea in the Boston Harbor or tar-and-feathering tax collectors was not a call to arms but a call for representation. But America is growing up, and that is never a good sign for empires such as England. But becoming more strict on him might have the opposite effects that he'd desired. Pre-Revolutionary War. No pairings, father-son relationship. Includes OCs of the thirteen colonies.

Genre: Family, Hurt/Comfort, Drama

The Fifty States of WHAT?

Status: Brainstorm idea, possibly either an oneshot or multi-chapter

Summary: America had thought the morning at the World Meeting had been going along fairly normal. That is, until a hoard of children burst through the doors claiming that he was their father and they each represented his fifty states. Now, Alfred knows he has state personifications but they're not his children--and they're certainly older than this! Not to mention, they weren't completely insane! And what's this about other countries not being aware of their existence?! A satire on the typical state fics.

Genre: Family, Friends, Humor and Drama

Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Status: Brainstorm idea, possible future multi-chapter

Summary: A chronological tale of Texas's early beginnings to the American-Mexican War. Heavily relies on OCs.

Genre: Family, Friends, Hurt/Comfort, Drama

Furr-tastic

Status: brainstorm idea, possible future multi-chapter

Summary: Arthur is a Scottish fold who was content with his regular life routines, even if he has to bother living alongside an arrogant French purebred cat like Francoise from time-to-time. But when a fully energetic puppy joins the household, his life takes a whole new twist. Animal AU

Genre: Family/Friends, Humor, Hurt/Comfort

Characters: Arthur as the cranky old Scottish fold, Francoise as the prideful but warmhearted purebred birman she-cat (fem!France), Alfred as the excited Labrador-Golden Retreiver Mutt, plus many more!
