“Your attempts have gotten much more obvious I must say.” He informed her as she fluttered her eyelashes hopefully “What happened to trying to trick me into showing you? I used to enjoy all those meals you guys took me out on…”

“But Sensei, that never worked, did it?”

He nodded thoughtfully. That was reasonable logic he supposed. Still, a little more planning and effort would have been nice. He wasn’t some cheap mask-removing hussy.

A Kakashi and Sakura story set in the real world.

"Been here before?" He asked conversationally.

"Yeah my second time. I came last year."

"Me too. Come here to see anyone in particular?"

"Hmm, there's been a few bands on we wanna see. But it's the general vibe we liked." Sakura winced at her weak answer and glanced at Kakashi. He merely smiled encouragingly.

"Ha, same here."

"We've obviously come to boogie as well, though." She laughed up at him as they settled in the shade of a tree.

"I'd like to see that." He told her whilst pulling rolling materials from his pocket. She blushed as he sat next to her, knees brushing.

"Smooth line." She grumbled, a little unsure whether it was a compliment and if it was whether she liked it.

"I do try." He looked up from the scaffold he was building and winked at her.

Kakashi's fingers effortlessly constructed the smoke, rolling it with a smooth twirl of his fingers. Sakura couldn't help staring as he sealed the paper with a long drag of his tongue. She turned scarlet as she realized she'd been unconsciously licking her own lips. If Kakashi noticed, he was kind enough not to mention it.

"Wow, that was fast." Sakura gabbled, keen to take the attention away from her not so subtle hots for the poor guy.

He chuckled and leisurely lit the end, inhaling deeply and relaxing backward onto his elbows. Long tendrils of white smoke slowly curled from the corners of his lips and disappeared into the blue sky above.
