LONG OVERDUE UPDATE! 10/1/2012

Well, what can I say? Life certainly does get busy! Since I last updated my profile, or, well, anything here on ff.nt...I got married, we were stationed in England for a year, subsequently moved back to the States, had a baby, and entered the life of a SAHM. One would think that being at home would allow time for writing. Ha! However, I am committing to finishing what I started, in the midst of running a house, homeschooling, and a somewhat newfound love of sewing. I plan on writing and posting at least one more chapter for BETH by the end of the year, with regular updates to follow. I want to deeply thank everyone who has read, enjoyed, and commented on BETH, and sincerely apologize for the extended hiatus. I certainly never intended to neglect my writing or this story in particular for so long. JLR

I have only ventured into fanfiction in two areas (Quantum Leap and Highlander: the Series--well, three if you count the crossover Leap into Star Trek: The Next Generation detailed in "All That Glitters" ). I do believe that fanfic is a great vehicle for finding your voice and gaining confidence as a writer. The stories I have posted here were generally written and/or started in the late 90s. While I have started writing more entirely original fiction, these stories will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope you enjoy them. I would love to hear your feedback. :)

I am back at regular work on "Beth" and hope to get new chapters posted about every two or three weeks, as time allows, but lately it seems to be once a month. I appreciate everyone's patience and look forward to hearing your opinions! For those who have long followed "Beth"--yes, the summary was altered a tad in December. I think the new one is a better reflection of what the story is.

Incidentally, if you like these stories, in the spring of 2005, I had a 4-part 'episode' called "Chiefest of Sinners" air at The Starbright Project, a Quantum Leap Prequel series. It is currently archived there and available to read. (Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four). I also received the award for "Best New Author of 2005" from the 2005 Quantum Leap Fandom Awards as a result of this story (my first foray into any of the "virtual" QL series).

In spring 2006, my first Virtual Seasons solo outing episode, "Sanctuary," aired in two parts as part of an alternate history arc. Part One, and Part Two have been archived. In the fall/winter of 2005, a 4-part 'episode' entitled "Holding On...Letting Go" (co-written with C. Eleiece Krawiec) was aired at Quantum Leap: The Virtual Seasons.Part One, Part Two, Part Three, and Part Four have all been archived.

You can also find a novel length story, Stardust, that was hosted in the summer of 2005 as a summer can find it under the "Alternate Universe" section of The Virtual Seasons' site, clicking on "Prequels" will bring you to all ten chapters of Stardust. Incidentally, Stardust won Best Overall Story of 2005 in the Quantum Leap Fandom Awards.
