Author has written 20 stories for Rock and Rule, Rise of the Guardians, Frozen, Mighty Ducks, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Hunger Games, Jurassic Park, Krampus, Patriot, and Great Mouse Detective. My title is Duchess, Duchess of Books that is. I don't know if you can tell that I love reading and writing. You can call me a bookworm, because I like that. I have read a lot on fanfiction and I can tell that I will fit in here with all of you imagination writers! My favorite literary genres: Mystery thrillers and historical fiction My favorite (real-life) authors: David Baldacci, Agatha Christie, Laura Joh Rowland, Lisa See, Tami Hoag, and Michael Koryta. My favorite movies: Rise of the Guardians, Black Beauty (1994), Seabiscuit (2003), Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, the Hunger Games series, anime movies done by Hayao Miyazaki, Psycho (the original 1960 version), and many other Alfred Hitchcock movies. I also have a soft spot for the "Forgotten Disney Classics" such as The Great Mouse Detective (love it!), The Rescuers, and many others. About me: I am a young woman and currently working on a career path, but my dream is to be a novelist. My hobbies, apart from reading and writing, are photography, riding horses, and painting. I prefer audio-books as narrators literally bring out the story in a way I can't explain. I love horses and I hope to write a book about them someday. I will admit, writing a profile isn't my forte, but I hope you get the gist. I've been on here since 2014 (I think that's correct) and you might see my older stories in past tense, but my newer stories don't have much of that as I am getting better at it. You will notice that a lot of my stories are in the mystery solving genre. To be honest, I think Disney's 'The Great Mouse Detective' got me interested in the genre, despite not creating a story for it until 2020. It's a shame that GMD doesn't get the attention it deserves, but I look at it as the "Mouse who saved the House of Mouse". For those who don't know the history, after the failure of 'The Black Cauldron', Disney Animation was in danger of shutting down. 'The Great Mouse Detective' was greenlit as a secondary project because many of the people working at the studio didn't like the way Cauldron was going. When GMD was released in the summer of 1986, it brought in at least $50 million and it reignited the confidence in the studio. Of course, many people believe that 'The Little Mermaid' saved Disney, but GMD started the rescue process of it. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, I am kinda all over the place in creating stories for the lesser known films out there (I might slip in the big blockbusters now and then), but I enjoy the heck out of it. I would like to ask the public if you have any ideas for any future projects on 'The Great Mouse Detective' as I finished my love project for it. In the past, I would beg for reviews, but nowadays I figured it's fine not to ask. I will, however, delete any troll reviews (Honestly, how do you people sleep at night?). Bullying will not help you in getting what you want. I think I said too much, but heck, I love writing! Hope that everyone is doing well, especially in this time of uncertainty (as of April 14, 2020). Be happy and healthy my friends! It's going to be all right!
