I hate to admit it, but I'm so lazy. It's only now that I'm getting around to posting a profile. Lots of people seem interested in one, so here goes.

I'm a 24-year-old guy, and I live in the Hendersonville half of the Asheville-Hendersonville metro area in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I dearly love where I live, and will probably write fiction in the future set here because, frankly, Maine has gotten entirely too much ink on the horror page and it's time for more than a little Southern gothic.

One thing I've learned writing my Silent Hill fanfic here on this site is how much fun and how easy research can be once you make yourself get started on it. According to some hints dropped in the various Silent Hill games, the town of Silent Hill itself is located in Illinois, a state where I've never set foot. However, with some map time and googling, you can learn a lot -- and then you can learn that you'll have to twist and warp the geography more than a little to make it fit with what's shown in this series of games by Konami. Konami could have saved me a lot of time by setting Silent Hill in the mountains here, where you can't spit without it hitting a lake or some other body of water, but people are so inconsiderate these days.

Anyhow, some other details: I'm a practicing Christian, but am also a gay man, and I'll let you work out the kinks in that one. I'm currently involved in a long-distance relationship with a man who lives in Chicago, ironically enough, and I can speak from experience when I say that long-distance relationships stink on ice. We're both going nuts waiting for his vacation time to get here so we can see each other again. Meanwhile, to pass the time while we're apart, I like to read, write, harass my cats, eat out, explore magnificent downtown Asheville, hike, swim, take long walks (though not on the beach), play video games, and watch movies. My life will be complete when I finally obtain each and every episode of CSI (all three incarnations), and the X-Files on DVD.

I live in an increasingly messy house with my cousin and two cats who are plotting against me.
