![]() Author has written 15 stories for Blue Bloods. Greetings; I find it so much easier to write about characters in a story than myself, but here's a brief rundown. I'm in my 50's, and like my screen name reads, I am an artist. A musician, a visual artist and a writer. The name "The Great Artiste" is derived from the nose art on the B-29 Superfortress bomber that was the telemetry plane for both atomic bomb droppings in 1945. I am a licensed pilot and have a lifelong fascination for aviation. My primary writing objective is to take characters and turn them inside out and reach inside and discover what really makes them tick. So far, I have concentrated on Blue Bloods. I find that most people focus on Danny or Jamie. I've elected to bring Joe back to life and insert him as the natural balancing force of the family. I have also decided that Erin's character is an overworked, sexually repressed and frustrated mother who has never been allowed to mature by her male dominated Irish cop family. Her life has been spent in a triangle comprised of Manhattan, Park Slope and Bay Ridge and she has never been allowed to explore what both life and the world have to offer. As such, my goal is to not only change the rules but to show the effects as to what happens when you allow her to cut those strings and to soar on her own, as well as the overall effect it has on her family. I research the facts in my stories and try to make them as accurate as possible, along with being educational and enjoyable. Most of all, I'm a writer, not a blogger or someone who posts a few hundred words and considers that as writing a chapter. Most of my chapters average between 2,000 and 4,000 words. I am always interested in new ideas, critiques and your thoughts as to my stories. Feel free to leave reviews. Most of all, this is just fiction so enjoy. |
