Technically, the first bit of fanfic I ever wrote was a "Clifford the Big Red Dog" piece, which I wrote in second grade :)

I then took a break from fanfic for about 20 years.

I got my next start writing fanfic back in the good ol' days of Xena: Warrior Princess. I didn't write any fanfic for quite a few years after that, but I finally got inspired to get back in the game. I write the stuff I want to read/see, which is usually the stuff the TV writers/producers refuse to show me!

My writing style is that of a "plotter", not a "pantser". I need to know where my story is headed and generally how I'm going to get there before I can write anything. I have all the admiration in the world for people who can write short stories, but even when I try to write a 2,500 word vignette, it still ends up being at least 11,000 words!
