What is a Closet Romantic Sock Puppet?

A twenty-something year old students from the tiny country known as the Netherlands, usually deprived of sleep after suffering from sudden attacks of inspiration in the middle of the night. In need for a place to store her hidden romantic side, she has delved into the world of fanfiction.

Does this exclude stories of any other genre?

Absolutely not. It should be noted that sock puppets utterly enjoy movies such as Silence of the lambs and might get stung with a different (and a little darker) muse now and again.

At the moment, there is a vicious little thing biting at her ankles, demanding she write fanfictions revolving around the Rurouni Kenshin universe. Yet one can expect other kinds of fanfics as well.

This story was written in order for me to explore the rurouni kenshin universe. I wrote it to familiarize myself with the characters as well as with the setting that they appear in since I had never written about them before. The desire to stay as close as the original story line as I could forced me to stick with the steady slow romance brewing between Kenshin and Kaoru. I found out it was a bit of a pain but hopefully well worth it.

The gift:

It started out as a simple idle curiosity but is already showing signs of growing bigger than I had anticipated. Nevertheless it is a lot of fun and it will test my writing weakness otherwise known "ability to hold onto the plot". All the demons that appear in the story are based on Japanese folklore. There is a lovely long list of them on wiki so I suggest you check it out, if only for kicks. I certainly enjoyed myself doing my "research" for this story.

Three nights:

Hitting a bit of a writer's block while working on the next chapter of The gift, I decided to write something else to get the flow going again. I ended up wondering about Enishi, and how Kenshin had been so utterly destroyed. It seemed improbable that Kenshin bounced back completely after such an event, so soon and so I decided to find out what might happen afterwards. I'm still not completely satisfied with it, particularly the ending, but I figured I might as well upload it to show that I am still writing.

Drabble collection. Started by a request and a need to get over a bit of a writer's block.

Child of a frog is a frog:

It started out as a request for a drabble. Before too long however I figured that the way that I wanted to write it would take more than a few hundred words. I wanted to explore how lessons taught to Kaoru as a child would affect her in later life. It was a lot of fun looking up the old japanese sayings to do so.
