Bio

UPDATE: I am currently on hiatus from writing because I simply cannot find the time. I do intend to start again when life calms down a little.

I am a student from the UK, and I got into fanfiction through simply stumbling across it one Christmas when I had little to do. I quickly got hooked on reading new stories in a world I've been following since Prisoner of Azkaban was published. I decided to start writing the story Disbelief when the central 'What If?' idea popped into my head and after a bit of searching couldn't find anything quite like what I was imagining. I hope to be able to keep to a reasonably quick publishing schedule, and to actually finish it, but real world considerations may result in pauses. Who knows what the future may bring?

I personally don't read fanfictions for the relationships, so I don't have any strong opinions on any ships. I have read good Harry/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Tonks, Harry/Daphne and many others, but the main factor for me is whether it is well written and believable as opposed to going for stories solely on who Harry ends up with. I'm a little surprised that I've only read one good story where Harry is a bit of a womaniser that isn't a Harem story. Harems, I just don't buy. I've read a couple, and if I like them it's despite of the relationship stuff that goes on. I just don't think it makes any sense at all.

I enjoy stories where Harry has a bit of grit to him, where the solution to his problems is through hard work. The way that the canon stories are set up makes it difficult for them to end on anything but a deux ex machina, but the best stories I've read do just that. I hope that I can avoid such tropes in my work, but I make no promises.

If you read my work and think that some of it is a bit similar to something else you've read, there's a good chance it's because I've drawn inspiration from it. I try and credit any original creations to the original author, but I might forget so please don't think I'm ripping you off. Just remind me in a review, and I will quickly add it in.

The cover art I have used for Disbelief is a slight crop of a lovely minimalist poster design I found on the internet, so if you like it head to http:///JACQUELYNYAKIRADESIGN/Harry-Potter-Kwe and click buy!
