She's happy and so is he, but it all feels wrong.

It starts with his fingers wrapped around her wrist.

So she wouldn't bludgeon him with a cocktail shaker one day, she said.

At least she has an excuse to wear the new shoes she's been going on and on about for weeks.

Her mother's relentless this year though. They miss her and want to see her new place, no more excuses.

He highly suspects it's the latter though; the feel of her skin on his is vivid even hours later.

He's still working at his desk now, an album playing softly, and there are times when she can feel his eyes on her.

So yeah, she should probably be home.
