![]() Author has written 5 stories for Supernatural, and Twilight. Have you ever felt like you were cheating on your favorite characters when you secretly wished they were paired with someone from a completely different fandom? Well now you don’t have to feel so guilty! Enter the Twilight/Supernatural Crossover Contest. Edward never thought he had a soul. What happens when a certain angel of the Lord comes to earth to show him how much his soul is really worth? Remember when John Winchester was in the hospital and met Kate Milligan and the result of that meeting was Adam, Dean and Sam’s half-brother? What if Kate wasn’t the one to stitch up John but it was Carlisle? Maybe Alice can see the future because she’s one of Yellow Eye’s special kids. What would happen if she were to cross paths with Sam Winchester? That night in Port Angeles, when Bella was almost attacked by those boys…what if it was an Impala that came to a screeching halt and saved her instead of that stupid shiny Volvo? We want you to take your favorite characters and elements from both Twilight and Supernatural and meld them together into one story. We’ll be providing song and music prompts to get your creative juices flowing. Visit the Twinatural Contest blog for more details! Important Dates
Deadline for submissions is December 16th Voting begins December 17th and ends December 21st Winners announced December 24th Winners! We are pleased to announce that we have a triple threat on our hands! The Quick and the Dead has not only one first place in the public vote, it scored the highest in the judging panel, and was the choice of our hostesses as well as the individual judges. Congratulations! What the Judges are saying... This one is my favorite (TQatD). I enjoyed the incorporation of the Quileute legends into the hunters' processes and how the Winchester Boys were taken by surprise by the Twilight vamp characteristics. Also, this story, I think, best captured the Winchester banter that the series is known for. I enjoyed all the entries for the contest. Out of all of them, though, "The Quick and The Dead" met all the requirements of the contest. It wove Twilight canon and Supernatural canon together in a way that I found believable. The characters were recognizable from their original universes. The story's world(s), while changed enough to make them considered AU, were still true to the author's/writer's original ideas. It was the ONLY one that was, in my opinion, a true crossover - world colliding. I enjoyed the fact that while I felt the attraction between Bella and Sam, they did not fall to immediately fucking. This, along with the ending, makes the story open to continuation, even though the story arc w/in the one shot wrapped up nicely for the contest. The quality of writing was pretty good and I like the way they blended the two story lines. From the Hostesses The Quick and the Dead was the reason why we wanted to have this contest. The crossover genre for Twilight and Supernatural is very limited even though there is so much material to work with. The way KristenLynn wove the two worlds together with an engaging storyline and took well-known elements from Supernatural and Twilight is what makes it a great crossover. Dean still had that edge we love him for while Sam was his sweet lovable self. Bella was canon but we were given so much more to work with. We hope she continues this story. Crimson Redemption received 2nd place in both the public voting and the judging panel. Thank you to everyone that entered! |
