Author has written 1 story for Big Hero 6. In a Nutshell: Loves to read, write and dream. Enjoys food-hunting and travelling. Acts occasionally (and outrageously). Has a dry and secretly satirical sense of humour. INFJ 1w2. Currently wants to pursue a degree in English Literature and craft out a career in teaching or writing. BH6: Behind the Fire Story Status: Under rewriting; refer to "An Update" on the story. There will now be a total of 22 Chapters and 1 Epilogue. However, there may be new chapters added during the rewriting process, so please watch this space and "An Update" for updates! Prologue (Removed) Part 1: Chapters 1-5 (In Progress, at Chapter 1) Part 2: Chapters 6-11 Part 3: Chapters 12-17 Part 4: Chapters 18-22 Epilogue Other Stories: Planning prequel BH6: Before the Fire (lazy title, I know. Will probably change it.) Writing Style: Realistic I like my stories to be realistic in nature, no matter which genre they belong to. Thus I usually have to do a good portion of research. For example, if I were to write a sci-fi story, I would read up on the current technology, science, and etc. Descriptive If you have read my first story, you will know that it's very descriptive. I have a tendency to be descriptive in my writing because I always imagine how my story would go from one scene to the next and then I would describe it out, from the feelings and thoughts of the characters at the moment to the place, action, etc. That's why it's both a flair and a flaw: it makes my story interesting to read, yet at the same time, it can also drag it down if there are too many details and irrelevant parts. Hence the long amount of time spent editing to make sure that it's solid and compact, and not draggy. Accurate Basically for every sentence I write, I make sure that it really means what it says. That's why I always check up Google for definitions and grammar guides and re-read my chapters many times because I want to make sure that my words are used and phrased accurately in order to conjure the right impression in the reader's mind. Hence, don't be surprised if you find my chapters edited over again even though they have been published a long time ago. Preferred Genres: Anything, except Horror. To date, I have experimented with sci-fi, drama, romance, travel, and even erotic themes in the past (when I write stories for pure fun). However, horror is one genre I have and will never touch on because I have never read horror books, and also I find it visually terrifying to imagine. Current Writing Status: I may not write for long because I have more projects and work coming up including a 42-week internship, after which I have to serve my military conscription (they call it National Service in Singapore). Thus, my time's rather short: in fact, I estimated that I may only write as many as two stories including my current one. I don't know if I will continue writing when I'm starting full-time work as well, but I really hope I will because it's fun and yes, I crave lots of attention and appreciation (though I'm too shy for them in real life). Notes: 1) No matter the response to my stories, I will always make sure that they stays relevant and sensible. I'm the kind of writer who's particular about plot, character development, and etc., so if you have any questions about a certain chapter, you can always pm me. I will be glad to answer. 2) I get very annoyed when readers start un-favouriting/un-following stories freely. It's inconsiderate to the writer's feelings, especially when he/she put so much hard work into crafting it out. It's also like giving false hope. I'll gladly appreciate if you can let me know the reason, so that I can improve my work for other readers at the very least. |
