![]() Author has written 8 stories for Warhammer. Corvus Albus: lat. for White Raven, a person with a mind of his/her own and their own opinions, someone who doesn't go (blindly) with the crowd. I honestly don't know much about Latin, but I got a nice book with Latin expressions and phrases. Since English isn't my native language there are going to be some mistakes in my stories; I use story writing as a means to teach myself the language, so please excuse them. My focus will be on Warhammer 40k and it should be noted that about all stories are connected to one another, though I try to write each story in a way that does not require you to read them all (I would be delighted if you did however). I try to keep as close to the lore as I can; my goal is to add and expand. If you have questions about stories, whether about those I write or am planning, anything lore related, PM me. My other artworks (including a portrait of Yaidev now), mostly game orientated drawings, you can find on DeviantArt. Just google KateMetalHead (the link I'd inserted didn't work anymore). Stories (In chronological order) Pathfinder:(ongoing) The story of Yaidev, the eldar Pathfinder from Saim-Hann appearing in Hunted, From Oblivion, Fox & Raven and a couple of future stories, showing the different Paths she takes before becoming an Outcast. Here I will also expand on eldar culture, as well as language. Currently she is walking the Path of Shaping, training to be a Bonesinger. In Darkest Night:(Finished)On the world Tenebra Primus a tyranid Lictor is assassinating both important politicians as well as officers of the Imperial Guard and PDF, spreading terror among the populace and soldiers alike. The Deathwatch Kill-team Schiavona(from Victoria Primus) goes to hunt this alien beast down, beginning a dangerous cat-and-mouse game in the forests and swamps, during one of the world’s thirty hours lasting nights From Oblivion:(Finished) On their search for natural resources on an uninhabited planet the noble House Vendedor locates an ancient alien temple that had been hidden underground for millennia. Soon they begin to recover and sell the relics and technology they find within it, finally gaining the Inquisition’s attention. During their investigation it is revealed that the relics are not only often tainted by the warp, but that House Vendedor trades with xenos and employs alien mercenaries, using them to guard their newest estate. In this story, as the Inquisition takes down the House, their fleet and associates, the Deathwatch Kill-team Schiavona (from Victoria Primus) is sent to destroy the temple and whatever is left to be recovered, as well as dispose of all heretics, aliens and what other dark things might dwell there, not knowing that their progress is being closely observed by another party. Hunted(Finished): Chronologically the first story about Inquisitor Basil Nicomedo, in which he's following an eldar Farseer to the desert world Petra. With him he brings two new Acolytes, one of them an Untouchable/Pariah. As Nicomedo soon finds out, necrons are awaking on the planet and an eldar Pathfinder offers the Farseer in exchange for helping her destroy the central generators, powering the machines. PoV of the Inquisitor and his Acolytes, as well as the eldar Pathfinder Yaidev. Drinking with a Space Wolf:(Finished) One-shot, taking place just before Victoria Primus. Space Wolf Volund Thundertooth, who serves the Deathwatch and is about to return to his chapter, invites two of his brothers to share a drink of Mjod, before they are send to their next deployment; these two brothers are Cyrus of the Blood Ravens and Nadim of the Salamanders. They talk throughout the night about various subjects, tongues somewhat loosened by the potent liquor, one of few known to have an effect on an Astartes. When Cyrus returns to his chamber, he receives news of the Exterminatus of Cyrene, summoning dim memories of his past life there. Victoria Primus(Finished): Chronologically the second story about Inquisitor Basil Nicomedo. The Hive World Victoria Primus is facing a Genestealer infestation, and a Deathwatch Kill-team under Inquisitor Nicomedo is send to destroy the Brood before the planet's defenses are compromised and the tyranid fleet devours the sector. In Dawn of War 2 this mission was mentioned to have been an encounter Seargent Cyrus had with the tyranid threat, making him a central character of Victoria Primus, though the story focuses heavily on the PoV of the Inquisitor and his Acolytes as well. Fox and Raven: (Finished) The Aurelia-Crusade has ended and both the sector and the Blood Ravens begin to rebuild. A few traitors of the chapter however remain at large, ever hunted by their former brothers. In a nearby system on the world Nemus, the Blood Ravens are destroying one of the last hideouts, while Scout Sergeant Cyrus pursues a possessed traitor, who’s fled the battle with a strange weapon. He receives unexpected assistance from an eldar Pathfinder (Yaidev), one he’s met many years ago, when he was with the Deathwatch(see From Oblivion). And she has her own reasons for hunting this traitor. Others No Man's Land: A one-shot in which a Guardsman awakes on the battlefield, only to find himself alone among the dead. Desperately he tries to find other survivors, and not get killed by Eldar forces. Not connected to any other story. Upcoming/In planning (In chronological order, as they take place) Asurmen: Before the Fall most eldar became complacent, decadent, succumbing to the darker sides of their nature. In those times one eldar begins a journey to find purpose in the galaxy, facing countless challenges and tests along his way, until he finds a destiny he could never have imagined, neither in his dreams nor his nightmares. Until he returns to his people as the chosen Asurmen, hoping to save them. Genres: Sci-Fi, Adventure, Spiritual/Supernatural Taking Wing: During the Kronus campaign Thule found documents concerning the Blood Ravens' origin, which he read and destroyed. This is the story they told, a story of the Thousand Sons. Genres: Sci-Fi, Tragedy, Action/Adventure Pathfinder; Wanderer of Worlds: Sequel to Pathfinder, can be read as a stand-alone. This is the amalgamation of Yaidev adventures as a Ranger and later Pathfinder, stories of her millennia among the stars, fighting alongside her own kin, humans and tau, but also fighting some of them, as well as countless horrors from the void and beyond. She’ll live with Harlequins and aliens, before the Black Council, the wisest of Farseers of the fabled Black Library, bestows a task upon a few chosen, Yaidev among them that will change the course of dawning 42th millennium. Genres: Sci-Fi, Action/Adventure, Friendship Among Men: During his time with the Deathwatch, Cyrus also served as a Kill-Marine, investigating and exterminating the Imperium's xenos-related threats alone. Due to this, he must travel with a Rogue Trader and live among none-Astartes, normal men and women. He sees world unharmed by war, people knowing peace and sees aspects of their lives hardly any Astartes witnesses even in their long lives. Genres: Sci-Fi, Action/Adventure, Friendship Signum: At the beginning of the 42th millennium Inquisitor Nicomedo is looking for a new way to combat the tyranid threat, seeking to misguide their fleets rather than engaging them. But desperate times force him to desperate means; aided by the eldar Pathfinder Yaidev, sent by the mysterious Black Council and members of the Farsight Enclaves, he and his retinue risk damnation for possible salvation. Genres: Sci-Fi, Suspense Entangled Paths: Following her first completed task for the Black Council, the Saim-Hannian Farseer and Yaidev’s former mentor, Methran’el sends her once more to assist the same Astartes he's made her cross paths with twice before. All he will admit is that their future collaboration will prove favourable for the eldar, but requires the Astartes to survive for the time being. Despite feeling manipulated, Yaidev agrees to the new mission, assisted by an old friend, even if it means going against the Dark Eldar. But then again it is perhaps her only opportunity to settle the score with the eldar, who a long time ago almost sold her along with her former comrades into slavery. Genres: Sci-Fi, Horror, Hurt/Comfort Age of Transition: Being revised Genres: Sci-Fi, Suspense, Action/Adventure, Friendship, Hurt/Comfort, (Romance) (Labyrinthine Dimension: Details follow, but for now would spoil events of Signum. All I can say is that it involves the search for a Primarch.) Between Life & Death: One-shot, details would spoil events of both Age of Transition and Labyrinthine Dimension. Rhana Dandra: As the title says, the events leading up to and Rhana Dandra itself, with a little of what follows. Details will follow. |
