I am an aspiring pharmaceutical scientist, and want to work in research and development. I write because I am capable of thought, and not enough restraint to keep from spewing the dreck that pops out of my head. Science-oriented people good writers do not make, not often. I wish I was an exception.

I'm a freshman attending an east coast university. I'm a semi-casual retro-RPG gamer who cares far more about story than gameplay. I like a myriad of things, ranging from Dead Like Me to wuxia novels to Battlestar Galactica to Digimon to Pynchon novels to Silent Hill to DCAU to Top Model to Miyazaki films to Korean/Chinese-pop/electronica and J-Rock. In other words, I have an interest in almost anything.

My favorite broad genre is mystery/crime (though not by much; I like pretty much anything, as it is), and my favorite fictitious detectives are Christie's Poirot and Simenon's Maigret. Unfortunately, this probably has something to do with underexposure to the genre, so I'll be better acquainting myself with it soon as possible. I, however, will probably never write mystery myself, because I doubt I could innovate and plot with enough complexity.
