Hey there, I'm Mab. I've been writing since I was eleven, which without putting too fine a point on it, was a while ago. I'm always eager to improve myself, so if you have critique, compliments, or criticism of my work, please say so in a review, because that way, I can know what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. And then I can become a better writer and make better fanfiction for you all to enjoy, and we'll all be happier for it.

Now that I've gotten around to writing a profile, let's update you guys on the status of some of my stuff.

Current Stories:

Path of Torn Bodies

This is going to be a oneshot. I've had a bunch of people asking if I intend to rewrite it so it could have a happier ending or if I will write a sequel to it, but half of writing well is knowing when (and how) to end a story. The Hunger Games was never a happy story, and I'm happy with what I have.

Maconaquea

Unfortunately, Spencer Reid is a character that's harder to write properly than I expected, and the situations I've put him in don't help. Even discounting him, this story takes a lot of time and energy that I don't have all the time, especially considering I have non-fanfiction writing and other real life responsibilities to think about. I'm working on the next chapter on and off, but it'll take a while before it's done. If I think I won't be updating, I'll post the outline I made before I even started the thing.

I'll give you guys a status report if things change, but in the mean time, thank you for your reviews and support, because those really help keep the story in mind.

EDITED TO ADD: Due to the fact that FF's guidelines specifically forbid the posting of non-stories (which, I believe, an outline constitutes), I will not be posting my outline despite having decided that I will not continue this story any time in the near future. I'll see if it's possible for me to post it using other venues and linking to those from here.

Potential Stories:

I usually only write oneshots due to the fact that I'm a busy person and I prefer writing short, good pieces. I have tons of half-finished oneshots on my computer, but particular fandoms that might have one soon would be The Night of the Rabbit (a fantastic game which needs more fanfic), Harry Potter, and Golden Sun (also a fantastic game). I won't tell you guys any more than that, but whatever I produce next, I hope you enjoy it. ;)

UPDATE TO THIS PROFILE

It's been a while since I've been here. Real life gets away from you.

I have not given up fanfiction, but after my failure to finish Maconaquea after committing myself the (admittedly very ambitious) story, I made a rule for myself that I wouldn't start any other stories on FF or on AO3 unless I had a rough draft of the entire story. Since I have a bad habit of getting into 100 page stories, that rule has limited my ability to post anything online. (Seriously, though, I have hundreds of pages of unpublished fanfic now.) I'm considering relaxing my rule, but that would likely mean that I would start more stories that won't ultimately have an end. People can let me know what they think. In the meantime, I'm going to see if I can't dust off the old account and maybe add some new material.
