Over the many years since joining FFnet, my language has steadily improved. But I'm more interested in reading/translating than writing nowadays...

About Reviews

I love rambling, and I love giving long reviews, which is mostly due to my rambling a lot.

In my reviews, I talk about 1) my feelinngs at specific points in the chapter, 2) my likes and dislikes about the plot and characters so far, 3) my guesses at how the story might progress from now on, and 4) existing and potential plot holes.

I don't usually dwell on the writing itself (narrative voice, active/passive sentences, grammar, punctuation, lack of descriptions, or even too much exposition, etc). I certainly do notice them, and sometimes they certainly do annoy me, but I usually just ignore them. Ultimately, I just want to read an interesting story, with interesting character development and an interesting world.

If you want me to point out grammatical errors, you should tell me in a PM, in which I will list out the mistakes in the reply. I used to give concrit in public reviews, I'll admit, but not anymore.

About Betareading

I seem to get a lot of requests for unofficial betareading for Digimon, but I don't actually read a lot of Digimon fanfic myself. If I am honest, I'm not interested in betareading Digimon fanfic because 1) it's usually about Adventure 02, which I have mixed feelings about, and 2) it's usually romance-centric, and I have no interest in pairing stories.

If your Digimon fanfic is neither of those two, then feel free to send me a PM. Also, I have yet to watch any of the Adventure tri. movies, so my understanding of that universe is practically nonexistent.
