I must admit I have no idea what is considered normal to write on one of these pages and to be honest I can't quite imagine anyone being interested enough to read it but for those who do ...

My name is Lynsey and I am twenty-something years old from Western Scotland.

I work in retail which is demanding enough without my second job as part-time musician and on top of that I am currently trying to set up my own business. Suffice to say, due to the demanding nature of my career/goals, I do not have a lot of time for writing. I do enjoy it though which is the point I suppose.

When I was little I wanted to be an author but as I grew up my passions turned more towards music and sport though I never forgot my love of literature. I love to read. I'll read almost anything I can get my hands on but I have a particular weakness for crime novels (Ian Rankin and Sharon Bolton being two of my favourite authors) and Victorian era British literature.

I feel I should apologise for the length of time it takes me to update. All I can say is that I am my own worst critic. I cannot just write something and post it. I have to go over and over it again and again, finding small ways of improving it until I'm sick of reading my own writing, at which point I close it down and may find myself not opening the file again for several days. I realise it must be frustrating but I appreciate each and every one of my reviews and my reviewers and I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me that people actually enjoy reading my work.

I suppose all that's left for me to say now is a huge thankyou to you for showing enough interest to land on this page and for showing so much support in my writing.
