God-still the only One who has never let me down.

Carson-a close second, this guy. He has a wicked scar curving down from the right side of his mouth and he makes me laugh a lot and smile even more, so you know he is amazing. I’ll stop now.

My life-I am crazy about it. In both senses, depending on the day.

People-so many to love, so many to be strangers with, so many to learn from

Laughter-I’m just in love with it.

Crying-I consider it one of my greatest privileges.

Words-beautiful, versatile, innumerable, immortal

Photography-this is where words are unneeded

Writing-my outlet, my passion, my joy, the way I best express myself

Random acts of kindness-whether giving or receiving, they make my day

Technology-especially my laptop and my cell phone, I don’t know what I’d do without them

Running across authors who write my style

Felines-anything from the big cats to your adorable little kitten

Weather-gorgeous pure drifting snow, wet singing cleansing rain, warm contented fresh sunlight, wild alive awesome wind, scary fierce beautiful storms...

Feeling special and loved and needed-well, who doesn’t?

Staying up late-I think I do my best writing after midnight, when the house is all dark and asleep except for me

Older sisters-what do girls do who don’t have them??

Poetry-but it cannot be cliché, and must be beautiful. It doesn’t have to rhyme. Honestly, to me all truly good writing is a kind of poetry I think.

Music-especially with beautiful lyrics; it touches me in a way that spoken words with no music can’t. And also, some music without any words at all

The sky-go look at it if you don’t understand why

Tiny insignificant lovely details-they make everything so rich

Lip balm-my sisters call me addicted

Kids-such awesome adorable little promises that will end up being people! And they let me touch their hair. I love hair.

Scents-just amazing how better than anything else they take me back to somewhere

Traveling at night- Come on, remember with me...bright gas station lights against the surrounding darkness, cool night air coming in through open car doors, loud truck engines idling...and also, falling asleep to the sound of wheels humming along the interstate...

My size-I am five feet tall and not growing for the last three years at least

The future-I love dreaming, I love the possibilities, I love the uncertainty

Time-people, it’s what keeps everything from happening at once! Think how awkward THAT would be. Specifically, I love my Carson time, my friend time, my family time, my writing time, my sister time (I especially love these last two combined), my reading time, my time spent with kids, my driving time...again, this could go on for a long, long time

The way many hands do, in fact, make light work

Memories-sad, happy, half forgotten, clearly remembered...what would we be but empty shells without them?

Making lists of things I love-it makes me smile!

‘Sometimes I think I’m weird, but then I look at you and I know I’m pretty normal after all!’ –my sister. And yes, she was talking about me.
