Author has written 39 stories for Bones. Latest Update: 30/04/12 Thanks very much for popping in. I saw the spoliers for the finale of season 7 and had a flash of inspiration. Therefore, unable to resist, I've started to pen, Pelant. Its dark tale - that's all I'm saying. But for those that have followed by scribblings over the years will, no doubt know, how I trim my bush. TMI? Odd metaphor? Yes - I'm a little drunk - forgive. Enjoy the ride. :) I've posted, 'An Egyptian Odyssey' - a Parker centric novelette. I hope you enjoy the shameless mushiness and the giggles too. A few last questions answered from my last fic. Which Bruno song did Parker sing to Isis? - Just The Way You Are. Which book did Bones give Parker to read? - The Perfumed Garden. A massive, sincere thank you to all of you who've been gracious enough to let me know how much you've enjoyed reading my scribbles; even those that had the courage to tell me they didn't. May your God bless you all. To those who've encouraged, supported and cajoled me over the years; your loyalty humbles. On to my actual profile: I'm proudly English, I'm old-ish, I'm a little lighter than when I wrote this before, I'm delightfully tethered, 22 years married, 27 with the same man. He needs a medal STAT! I'm a relapsed Catholic; dyslexic, life-long Arsenal supporter- for my sins, I meditate, play drums & guitar - badly. Burn everything I cook, work part-time, drive a clapped-out purple Micra like Hamilton, (stop laughing!). I've travelled. My true passion: to travel and meet as many of my fellow humans on this blue, fragile marble and see as much of it as possible before I pass through the veil. I've visited India. Trekked in Nepal; Pokhara, Katmandu, Everest - Where I was chased by a tiger, and sucked on by leeches! Such fun! Rode elephants and white water rafted the Kalikandaki. Even body surfed a rapid there. Woohoo!! Watched human cremations beside river banks, survived Rhino charges and crock's snapping my fingers. Flew twenty feet in the air on huge delicate swings. (Their national pastime). USA coast-to-coast on a Greyhound to; New York, Washington DC, Philly, Boston, up to Canada & Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Rapid city, Salt Lake City, Cody, Carmel, Las Vegas, San Francisco, LA. I saw every town and landmark between the cities! Whoa, that was a hellova trip. Fav City? Without a doubt, Chicago. Best view? New York skyline, prior to 9/11. Most beautiful sight? Dawn helicopter flight over the rim of the Grand Canyon: awe-inspiring. I spontaneously wept. And again in Yellowstone, at the waterfalls, who's name escapes me. Worst thing about the US? McDonald's. IMHO. Sorry, Mac supporters. Ooo & Aruba. (2010) That's me, on Eagle Beach, Aruba, in the avatar above: inebriated & clinging on. ;) Sri Lanka, post tsunami. Go - its an incredible country, people extraordinary, and need the tourists to recover fully. Umpired a cricket match on the beach with the locals. Saw a tornado, bathed, fed and rode elephants. Best night skies I have ever witnessed. Watched transfixed the devotion of the Buddha tooth: fascinating, humbling. Several African nations: a Tanzanian safari (2009) - witnessed the migration of thousands of wilderbeast & Zebra. Awed at Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti savannahs & all the BIG seven. Attacked by Tetse fly - EEK!. My Hubs climbed Kilimanjaro for charity, (so proud of him). Then over to Zanzibar- mind blowing-ly beautiful, and the birthplace of Freddie Mercury (Queen). Egypt: Cairo and Nile cruise in 2010; which was incredible and we ended up staying longer than planned due to ash clouds from Iceland. A sincere thank you to Iceland's, fantastic volitile volcano's. Most recent trip: a China adventure. (May 2012) - Climbed The Wall, visited Tibet - Nine Valley Villages (Jiuzhaigou). Strolled around the Forbidden City in Beijing, Xi'an: Terracotta Warriors, Chengdu: Panda sancturay & cruised the Li River at Guilin; where we saw the cormorant fishermen, fish. :) Next booked trip - a week doing sweet FA on a beach: The Red Sea, Eygpt - alone. (Blissss) Visited tons of places in Europe. I got stoned with my sister in Amsterdam on a ladies rugby tour! It is legal there?? Walked Paris' sewers on my honeymoon, yeah we did. Other bits of France too. Belgium; Germany, Spain, and islands, all over there! Venice - gondola trips - opera in palace. Iceland, Prague, Austria, skied in the Italian Alps. Rome; Portugal, Turkey, Morocco casaba shopping, hung cobra's around my neck! I've been all over the Greek Islands, the best and the most spectacular, where I hope to retire - Santorini/Thira. A sun drenched caldera and crescent shaped volcanic island, where we shared a roof top drink with Ange and Brad. OH! I'm such a name dropper... LOL Which reminds me... I've been fortunate to met so many people you might know or heard of; Elton, George, Paul and Ringo, Dawn French, Jenifer Saunders, Victoria wood, Patrick Stewart, Julie Walters, HRH, The Queen, Duke and Princess Ann. (I held her horse while she took refreshments) and so many more. I've already bored you. Ooo and Mr Stephen Fry. I've flown bi-planes, and looped the loop. Clocked 120MPH on the M25. (who hasn't!) Hot air ballooned over the Serengeti, swam with dolphins, released turtles back to the ocean, abseiled, felt the earth quake many times, walked on volcanoes. Seen the Moon eat the sun and comets and millions of shooting stars. Walked across lava fields, rode camels, horses and cuddled a monkey. Witnessed my mother die slowly of ovarian cancer, lost my father to a coronary. Seen and felt the miracle of birth. Fired a gun, kissed a stranger, but never been arrested. (Still time, wink). I've faced my own mortality, DVT and pulmonary embolism in the 90's. And bugger me, had another over New Year 2009. Hobbies; astronomy, photography, learning new stuff, laughing, singing at the top of my voice anytime, anywhere. Family, driving on long trips, and singing. Vodka; friends, crying, reading autobiography's, sex. But not necessarily in that order: usually I just sing during all of the above. (wry smile) I'm a hopeless unrelenting romantic. Hence the fanfic's I try to write. Angst is soul food, romance the heart's fondant icing and sex, the delicious unmissable dessert. If you're still reading, I'm sooo impressed! ,g, Best TV show around, Bones, IMHO. Booth is hot, Bones scorches the screen, together they ignite the sky. They have great chemistry which is hard to create but they pull it off with aplomb. Annoying habits: Smoking, talking too much, singing all the time, forgetting birthdays, working. Writing too much. (My Hubs says.) Knowing all the lyrics to every song ever penned. Knowing countless useless facts and spewing them out whenever. Being too tidy and expecting everyone else to be the same. Things I love: Family, life, smoking, singing, making love, travelling, loyalty, living in my head, my friends, vodka, cold side of the pillow, coming home. Things I hate; Intolerance of peoples ethics, religions or spiritualism, racism, liver, (gag), running out of milk, working, betrayal, ironing, my wobbly belly. That's about it really. May your God bless you and keep you safe, if you have no God; trust and have faith in your fellow human, I've found divinity in all of the one's I've met. Hugs, Lebxeb.
