![]() Author has written 6 stories for Kingdom Hearts, and Ranma. For readers, all of my stories have been put onto indefinite hiatus until further notice. Here's some reasons why: Fereint in Der Light - It was a good idea, but my execution sorta held me back. I felt the characters I had didn't stand up very well and were all sort of re-hashes of characters from some other stories. Also, at the end of each chapter I wrote something in some random language, and Google Translate was starting to run out of ones I hadn't used before. It was pretty sloppily done overall. Maybe this is worth re-working? Ranma, the Shepherd Boy - Interesting concept (Ukyo falling into the cursed springs along with Ranma and Genma), but my idea of the story wasn't done well and I felt that everyone was a little TOO out of character. Also, not sure why I made Ukyo a sheep. I just really liked sheep at that time. Kingdom Hearts: Merging RE - This was supposed to be a cleaned up version of my first story I uploaded here. It started out pretty well, but I lost interest in remaking a story I hadn't even finished (and still haven't). Also, the story felt very ameture-ish and looking back at it now, I see that it had a billion problems with the characters alone. Kingdom Hearts: A Tale of the Revelation of Self Relevance - Jesus Christ. The title alone is giving me flashbacks. This was an impromptu story I came up with in two minutes after deciding I wanted to make something that might be more action-y later on, and I regret putting it on here. The title is pretentious and the characters are stereotypical. I hate this story now. I kept on doubting myself while making it, and I kept on forgetting some of the smaller details I put in, so I kept making inconsistencies. I also only wrote one damn chapter. And the title for gods sake. Organizations Problems - This was a fantastic idea, and I feel my execution was pretty good, what with being new to writing at the time. This was another one where the characters seemed like rehashes. I really felt that this was absolutely an un-killable story until I began using Hershal. After that, I felt like something in the story just wasn't right. Starting off, this was a fun story to write, but I realized that with a cast as large as the Organization plus whoever else, I had to really fit some time in for everyone eventually, and that's where a lot of the trouble started. I began to cram characters in at random points, but they always felt out of place and just plain awkward sometimes. Worse is, I didn't really understand the ones from Chain of Memories (Marluxia, Larxene, Lexaeus, Zexion, Vexen) so if I did use them, they were always comic relief to the comic relief (a real insult to the characters themselves). I feel like I tried too hard to keep this thing going. Looking back at it, the last seven or so chapters were a pain to write. I didn't have a plan, which is why everything was pile-drived together like it was. If you were keeping up to date with it around June or July of 2013 you probably read what was supposed to be the ending arc of the series. It was a rushed mess, so I scrapped it and went back to business as normal, ironically then making an even messier arc-within-an-arc sorta thing that I wont ever finish. After that, everything was just improv and writing was a chore rather than a hobby. So I decided to just take a break. What makes me feel so bad about effectively ending this one is that it had amazing potential to become a long-running thing. I might still be at it if I had planned things out a bit more. Oh well. Oh yeah. I wrote ONE HALF of an extra Org. Problems chapter, but it's garbage. I'm not really sure if I even want to start writing fanfiction again, but if I do, the stories will probably have a darker tone. Not sure what about, but I've been reading a lot of manga and playing older games lately, so maybe something about those. If you'd like to talk or chat, I still visit here every once in a while, so send me a pm if you'd like. |
