Author has written 18 stories for StarTrek: The Next Generation. CityDurl's pen name is a play on City Girl, and obliquely refers to a short story by Dorothy Parker called Horsie. It's also a reference to the Kevin Shields song in the movie Lost in Translation. I love outsiders, imperfect heroes, tragic stories, and subtle interpersonal dramas. Perhaps I should emphasize - I love tragic stories. So, yes, I ship Data/Tasha, and yes, it's canon. I'm grateful to Netflix for offering every episode of Star Trek for streaming, which provided the spark that made the stories leave my mind and get on the page. Highly recommended: re-watch the first season of TNG (or get in HD on blu-ray!), and listen to Wil Wheaton's Memories of the Futurecast. Wait with barely contained anticipation for the sequel. Watch the extras and the Easter eggs. Geek out with me. I'm such a fan of imperfect, uneven season one - the series got so much better, but I have a soft spot for those early episodes. Many, many thanks to the readers who review on a regular basis - without you, one is nothing, and the stories could never have turned out so well. To those of you who read and don't review - I don't bite, promise! If you review one of my stories, I'll probably message you and talk Trek at you until you wish you'd never said anything. Doesn't that sound like fun? |
