Author has written 3 stories for Pride and Prejudice, and Dungeons and Dragons.

Name: Stephen Baird

Age: more over 40 (than when I first posted this profile)

Location: New Zealand

Fan-fiction Likes: Pride & Prejudice, Georgette Heyer, other Jane Austen works (so far).

Like to Read: Just about anything, but prefer Scifi, Fantasy, historic detective fiction, thrillers, regency romance (as long as it not too steamy - for me sex ruins the regency ambiance).

(Finally) working on "Meet Darcy's Daughter, Amy-Jane" which will be the sequel (sort of) to Meet My Daughter, Amy Jane. Have a completed outline for this new book, I and I've started posting the first chapters. For all of you that I have promised I'd produce a sequel, and been waiting - sorry for the delay.

As I am only a 'talented amateur' I'll make mistakes, so please let me know if you see any glaring grammar/spelling mistakes or point out where my liking for multiple nested sentences is confusing. Feel free to PM me with any questions - I very much enjoy the dialogue with those that read my stories, or authors who reply to my reviews - something that makes this community of authors/readers so much fun to contribute to.

Note about posting frequency: I am trying to publish a chapter every 2 to 3 weeks, but given I produce 5,000 word chapters, they may just take longer. But like my first story (MMDAJ) the sequel is fully plotted, so I know what will happen when, so I will finish, even if I end up taking a lot longer to post the next chapter. The sequel is more a series of viginettes, if following a plot arc about Richard and Charlotte, so less likely to get me stuck as with MMDAJ did.

Authors Note for Meet My Daughter, Amy-Jane: There are many P&P stories, by any number of authors, that have made me laugh, cry, or just yell at Elizabeth, Darcy or both - the sum total of these are what inspired me to have a go myself.

A specific mention is needed for Beth AM (Beth Massey) and her published work Goodly Creatures as a paperback or Kindle book - go look it up - I strongly recommend buying it, as I have - (but many will remember it as as "Brave New World of Toil and Trouble" on DWG - that is how I read it a number of years ago) my heartfelt thanks for your ideas. I was inspired it, then took her initial plot idea and put my own spin on it. My story would not exist I had not rad her wonderful story first. Please note: There is a warning on her fiction for a reason, as is mine.

To all the other authors, in reality too many to mention, you've showed me the highest quality of writing can be produced by a 'talented amateur' from the shear joy of doing it - I continue to enjoy reading your works, even as I write my own. Thank you.

And in many ways, to the readers, in particular those that leave reviews, knowing that I've got people wanting to read the next chapter certainly spurs me on.

Thank you.

Stephen

Meet Darcy's daughter, AmyJane (a sequel) reviews
This is the sequel to my P&P AU story Meet My Daughter, Amy Jane. Did you wonder what happened after (and even a little before) to my AU characters? Now you'll know. It starts with a funeral in 1819, but returns to 1812 and works towards to 1819 from then. Note: This story will not make sense unless you've read my first story already.

Meet my daughter, AmyJane reviews
P&P AU - What if there was a scandal in the Bennet family prior to Darcy meeting Elizabeth, could he overcome his pride? What if Elizabeth saw him as another immoral gentleman, could she overcome her prejudice?

It was a log reviews
A vaguely Pratchett-eske result of *A* not paying attention and *B* being required to write "the log" of last week's roleplaying session. So a drabble really about a log, rather than anything game related.
Dungeons and Dragons - Rated: K - English - Fantasy/Humor - Chapters: 1 - Words: 1,636 - Reviews: 1 - Published: 8/22/2012 - Complete
