I guess I owe some sort of explanation here, seeing as I'm finally able to deal with looking at this without feeling intense embarrassment haha.

Anyway, my name is Charles. To clear up any confusion, I’m FTM transsexual (which probably explains my obsession with Rocky Horror as a kid, haha). I made this account in 2011, and this was the very first time I had ever posted my fanfictions online for people to see. I'm an adult now (21 as of the last time I updated this!), and I'm a writer with a BA in English, but at the time of using this account I was about 12, and I was going through some really rough spots. I was in middle school, but I had been skipped ahead, so I was a year younger than everyone else, and currently dealing with bad anxiety and a lot of personal issues. I was out of place and alone, so I went to fanfiction writing as a way to cope.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show was my absolute biggest obsession at the time (although clearly I also liked a few other things as well — I actually have a Fruits Basket inspired tattoo now hehe)! It was the first time I had ever seen LGBT people on television, and it was part of what helped me start to figure out my own identity. I found it an extremely fun and exciting and colorful fictional world to escape into.

The fact of the matter is that these stories meant the world to me as a kid and I was really proud of them, even though I find them pretty cringey/goofy now - and the people in the Rocky Horror fandom at the time were so wonderful! You were all so sweet to me, you put up with the edgiest, most out of character stories, and your positivity and encouragement was honestly what kept me writing! And nowadays, I'm a much more confident writer who does this stuff professionally, and I honestly feel like I owe it so much to the people here who kept reading my stories and encouraging me to keep going.

So thank you so much RHPS fandom, thank you to everyone who read my fanfictions and dealt with me during this phase, lol.

I've changed this account's name to "DarkAnsalong" as a final homage to my younger self's favorite OC. I used to be Queen_Cynder.
