Hey, I'm Laura. I'm an 18-year-old college student in the good ol' US of A. Favorite animes include Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Yu-Gi-Oh (DM and 5Ds), Durarara!!, Prince of Tennis, Soul Eater, and OHSHC.

As far as my other interests, I've been playing piano for about fourteen years now. I also sing a bit. I am a music education major although I'm not super sure what I want to do with my life. I also enjoy reading, writing, photography, baking, knitting, and cats. I'm basically a hipster irl.

GUYS. THE FEHKING COOLEST THING JUST HAPPENED.

Backstory: My friend & roommate Nicole (Mermaids) and I have designated ourselves and pretty much everyone around us as Yu-Gi-Oh characters. She's Marik, because she has the goofy sense of humor thing working quite well for her, and she can imitate Marik's voice perfectly. She thinks of herself as vain, not unlike Marik, but endearingly so. She also wears crop tops so there's that. I'm Ryou because I'm shy and quiet and gentle and naive and unassuming for the most part. Also because he's my favorite character :3 Nicole is working on a fic called In The Blackest of Rooms (lol how do I promotion) that is primarily tendershipping, but involves a bit of angstshipping as well, which is totally my secondary OTP. In her fic, there's a scene in which Ryou and Marik are walking in the pouring rain, and Marik turns to Ryou and says "Let's run for it!," grabs Ryou by the arm, and pulls him out into the street right in front of a cab. It's totes presh.

So, that being said, I can go on with the story.

Nicole and I just went to Taco Bell for a late dinner, and when we got back on campus, we had to park across the street from our dorm. Instead of walking alllllll the way to the crosswalk, I said to her, "Should we run for it?", and she GRABS MY HAND IN THE MOST HOMO WAY POSSIBLE and we fucking RUN ACROSS THE STREET IN FRONT OF A CAR. A minute or so after the fact, she says, "HOLY SHIT, I just realized... we totally acted out that scene from my fic." I smiled and in that moment, everything was right with the world. [insert "gaaaaay" seal here.]
