Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Hello. I am a person. I have a life outside of Fanfiction. Things which I Strongly Recommend: Go look up Shrrgnien. Find the Canisp Link at the top of her page. Click. This is a marvelous piece of Artwork that any author should be proud to write. By the way, it is Narnia, pre- Lion/Witch/Wardrobe. You don’t have to have read or heard of Narnia to get into this character, it is an excellent story with or without background knowledge. I am singularly a PJO person with occasional snippets of HP, but even I appreciate the value of this Narnian Masterpiece. In The Years of Our Titans by Storm-Brain is an emotional and action-filled piece with very good insights on the original characters and how this war is affecting their lives. PJO, but please, don’t not read because of the summary. If Storm-Brain has a weakness, it’s the summaries. Just trust me here, and get into the story. You won’t regret it. Xed Alpha has written a marvelous work, though I do disagree with the general content. If the Child of Artemis idea frightens you in the least, look here for a quick and sudden turnaround in the thoughts behind that fear. There has never been, nor will there ever be, another story that so accurately portrays Artemis as a parent, a virgin, and a hunter. Honestly, find Broken Bow. It is a five-part series, and I admit I did stop reading after book four, but really and truly, excellent until then. Back to Shrrgnien, who has another cast of characters in her wonderful Hunter stories. If you have a craving for the hunters of Artemis, particularly Zoë and Thalia, just pick from her wide collection of drabbles and one-shots. My favorite is Promise Me, which gives new, fresh insight on Zoë’s last words, while others revolve around the day-to-day excitement of life as a huntress. Shrrgnien has a unique and marvelous perception around the tiny aspects of the life that these special girls lead. The Darkness Within. The All-Time greatest Harry Potter fanfic I have ever read. Harry returns as a new and improved character as Kurinoone paints an alternate dimension of Wizards. Kurinoone will make you a dark Harry fan through her unique twists in plot and mysterious backgrounds, which mislead readers until a stunning finish. Part of a three-story set, this story will have you dying to know more. Don’t believe me? the 1,000 plus reviews speak for themselves. My philosophy: Flames are not Flames for burning. A fire has many uses. While it may consume and burn and destroy, It s also used to provide light. So, people on this site say that flames will be "used to roast marshmallows." That should be taken to mean that the critique will be used to better the story, as everybody knows that roasted marshmallows are way better than plain ones. However, lately it has lost the underlying meaning and basically means that the flame will be either hated or ignored. My favorite way to think about it is to say that Flames cast light upon the problems of the story. The best review an author can hope for is a blinding bonfire of a flame, that casts as much light onto their story as possible. For example, saying that the story was good, but there were a few grammatical mistakes is like a match, or a candle. Saying that the story was horrible is like a fake, useless fire. Saying that you liked sentence three, but sentence four should have been worded differently, and the fourth word of the third paragraph should have been more descriptive, and that Characters A, B, and C shouldn't have interacted so casually, it was poorly worded and not particularly detailed, and their encounter could have been more in the present tense, and the reasoning behind the actions of Character B needed to have more though behind them... That's a bonfire. Thats what you want from a reviewer. Why be content with one-line praise? Look for the review that degrades your story, insults your intellegence, and shoves your ego up your ass. It is the one that will make you better. Which is, really, the only reason we're on this site, right? As of 8/30/2016: After a long hiatus I have returned, temporarily, to complete my final project on this site. To readers and reviewers of either (or both of) my stories, thank you for you continued support and time. Fanfiction started me on what I believe will be a lifelong passion for writing, and I encourage any readers to take that leap into creating a work of their own. Despite my eventual absence from the realm of fanfiction, I do intend to maintain and monitor the stories I have posted here for as long as people continue to read and enjoy them. This having been said, I still write daily and will reply to any reviews or private messages submitted here. If there is any individual who strongly believes I can make edits to my stories that will be beneficial to their quality, I may revisit those stories that are already posted. I do not guarantee that I will never post another story, but I will say that as of now I have no intention to post any of my projects on this site. Again, I want to say thank you to the readers and reviewers and express my genuine gratitude for your interest in my writing. Always, |
