![]() Author has written 15 stories for Grey's Anatomy. *NOTE: After 8 painstaking months, book one of The Beautiful Whisper of the Goddess Saga is now live on Amazon Kindle. If you purchase the book and enjoy it, please feel free to leave me a review and a possible rating. Thanks so much!* The basic stuff: It was suggested by a friend that I place something on my profile here. Apparently, people are interested in the woman behind the stories. Who knew? haha! There isn't too much to say. I'm about the most average person you could ever meet. I work a boring retail management job which, at times, is extremely stressful. In my spare time, apart from writing, I enjoy reading, video games, camping, swimming, fishing, going out to eat, watching movies, and listening to music. (See, pretty average, huh?) My name is Krystal and I'm 29. I live in Arkansas along the Texas border. Those who know me will tell you that, at times, I'm the life of the party. At others, I'm so quiet and reserved as to appear uninterested in anything going on around me. I'm a deep thinker. That's a trait that, sometimes, can make me come across as broody. I live inside my head...A LOT. Random things: If I were a character in a book or movie, my part would be of the person who did not trust and did not lean on others. Yep, I would be that person people were wishing would just open up and talk; the one who had the sordid sob story in their past that kept them from connecting. :P I have an off the wall sense of humor. I have two dogs. I have seven tattoos. People riding in my car are not allowed to touch the cd player or air conditioning. My favorite food is Italian. My favorite color is blue. I'm tall, standing at 5'10. I never eat the first piece of bread after the heel. All volume, rather in the car or on the tv, must be on a multiple of 5 if there is an indication of such. If I'm uncomfortable or unsure in a situation, or just scoping out the scene, I'm quieter than normal. I have 3 sisters. My favorite book series is The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. Negativity, hate, and trolls: I would also like to state here, not just for me but for other authors who have experienced the same, that asking for reviews and whining for reviews are two entirely DIFFERENT things. I have always been amazed at certain people on this website, people who are enjoying a free form of entertainment, feeling justified to bash the men and women who take personal time to create a story. I have been amazed at how quick the guests are to jump on an opportunity to talk about a person they know absolutely nothing about, all because that person asked for feedback on a story they are writing. Feedback(actual feedback, not bashing, trolling, or hating) is the only form of 'payment' the authors on this website get for their time. Most of us write for fun, while others hope to make a start in fanfic before trying in the published world. Requesting input should not be met with people bashing the author. The author could just as well not continue their story and the people who were enjoying(for free) just lose out because of senseless and petty hate. So, to the few people who have tried to leave me 'reviews' telling me to "shut up and write", I will state here...no one has to read an author's notes. There is a wonderful little feature all computers come with called a scroll function. You can scroll down to the story and ignore the note by the author. Why anyone feels the need to take time out of their life to bring despair to another is beyond me. Writing is fun for me. I enjoy hearing from people and I enjoy making friends through the stories I tell. Something so beautiful like the written word should not be sullied by those who seek only to bring sadness to others. In closing, I'm a pretty easy going and nice person. I love Callie and Arizona and I enjoy weaving a good story together. Stories are powerful. A part of the author is expressed in the words of a good tale and, like any written word, negativity can be profound. To the few people who have tried to upset me by leaving poor 'reviews' and then become angered because I deleted those reviews, it may be time to reevaluate your lives. Something is missing for you and taking it out on others isn't going to rectify matters. To the readers: To those who have supported my stories, I thank you all here, publicly. Had I the time, I would name you all personally. All of you have been great and I appreciate you all. This concludes this little ramble fest. |
