Author has written 18 stories for Walking Dead, Red Canyon, 2008, Killing, 2011, Silent Hill, and Descent. Hey guys! Rose is the name. Writing stories is the game. You're always welcome to message me. I don't bite - not hard at least. *laughs* I'm a college graduate - English major and psychology minor - and I've just recently landed a different job so I might not get to post as often as I'd like. But every bit of what little free time I get goes towards my writing. I'll answer any questions, concerns, or comments you might have just as soon as I can get to them. If you're one of those "faint of heart" people, you won't like my work. For those of you that are brave enough to read it, welcome. It's sick and twisted, just the way I like it. Stephen Holder - from the AMC TV show, the Killing - has been my latest muse. I've posted one one-shot about him and my original character, Tris, but I intend to write several more. So, if you have any comments, concerns, or questions about the one-shot, feel free to voice them. And if you have any suggestions for a new one-shot - whether it be work-related, smutty, or just a simple daily interaction between the two characters - hit me up and I'll take it into consideration. I'd also like to announce that I've started the first Red Canyon community here on Fanfiction: Manic Mac - a Red Canyon Community. This isn't intended to be "mine". This community is meant to be OURS, anyone that wants to get their Red Canyon stories out there and loves sharing them with the rest of us Mac lovers. If you are interested in joining the community and would like to have your stories posted in the community, please feel free to contact me. I'm actively looking for people that would be interested in helping me with my writing. This entails many things. If you'd like, you can help me by viewing my chapters before I ever post them online to give me feedback and letting me know what needs expanded upon, condensed, tweaked, or completely cut from the story. ALL feedback is welcome, as long as it's constructive - I DO ask that you explain WHY you feel certain aspects need work so that I can improve those parts. You can help me with the brainstorming process for my stories by offering your opinions on questions I pose on my Facebook page. You can keep updated on what I'm currently working on and how the writing process is going. These people would also get to see my chapters and stories before I ever posted them and would get to view the drafts until I finally posted them online for everyone to read. This would also mean that they would be a part of my close circle of friends and that I would probably bounce ideas off of them for this chapter or that one to brainstorm with them. I also love receiving feedback, whether it's in the form of a message or a review. If you liked an OC or a pairing that I did in one of my fics between Mac or Daryl and one of my OCs, don't hesitate to let me know. I could do a one-shot or attempt a full-length story for the characters - if it's a full-length story they were in, I can do a one-shot and vice versa. If I get enough requests from readers and faithfuls for a one-shot or full-length story, I'll be more tempted to do it. And, if I get someone that requests it and I think I might be able to pull together some ideas for it, I just might be tempted to run with it. I don't mind getting suggestions or requests. Now, I might not always go with them. But I might take up a few. So it never hurts to ask. I just set up a new email account on Yahoo today and made a Facebook page for this account here on Fanfiction. So, if you wanna find out more about what I'm working on at any given time, that's the place to go. You'll find banners I've made of the characters from my stories, what songs I plan to use or have used in my chapters, and I'll write a little blurb on what I'm working on from time to time on there. Anyone is welcome add me as a friend or follow me on there so they can keep updated. So here's the link, for those of you that would like to find out: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008349343186 Author's Note: It seems that there have been even more instances of readers copying writer's works and pasting them onto various sites – whether it's Fanfiction. Tumblr, or other sites. Taking credit for someone else's words is plagiarism. Not only that but it shows a total lack of creativity, originality, and morals. This is also a form of stealing. In college, if you plagiarize, you get kicked out of school and it will forever be on your transcript. In the work force, you get fired and it goes onto your file. If you do it in school, you get an F. While there might not be any form of punishment for it here online, that doesn't mean that you can't get caught and that the writer themselves can't punish you for it. For future reference, I would like to warn all of my readers that I won't be as nice as the other writers who have had their work stolen. I won't only post your name on my profile and list you as a writer that others should avoid allowing to read their works. I'll call you out on the fact that you stole my story and cite the story you stole from as well as the story you posted it under for everyone to see. I won't only ban you from viewing my profile and reading my stories. I'll also inform the betas and other administrators and moderators of what you have done and to keep a look out in the future to see if you steal other people's work. Contrary to what some readers might think, we writers work HARD to come up with the ideas, characters, plots, and other information portrayed in our stories. It takes us hours, sometimes even DAYS to craft the stories you see posted here. Writing is NOT easy and plagiarism shouldn't be taken lightly by ANYONE. I have several faithful readers on here and I read in what little free-time I manage to get – and extensively over my breaks – so don't think for even a SECOND that you won't get caught if you try to steal parts of my stories. You will. And there will be severe consequences. Finally, I'd also like to add the fact that, as a creative writer, I don't HAVE to share my work here on this site. I don't HAVE to post it for all of you to see. I do it because I genuinely want to share my stories with others that have similar taste in movies and TV shows. I do it because writing has always – and WILL always – be my passion in life. That being said, if people start stealing my shit, I'll stop posting for months at a time. Period. There might be other writers out there who push through it, but that's where I draw the line. If you do the crime, you'll do the time. |
