Author has written 18 stories for Avatar, Harry Potter, and Warhammer. Updated 21.10.18 I'm not Harry Potter crazy; there are many far better works of literature out there, I write fanfiction to try to improve my writing. Once in a while though I read other people's stuff and mostly I enjoy it. I'm not a literature snob though; I enjoy anything with a decent story. But the very best stuff makes you think deeply, wonder how someone could possibly have come up with that and what they went through to write it. I like stories to do with the Marauders, interesting takes on Teddy Lupin and decent Harrys. I'm mostly a Rowling writer on here, but I've come to explore a few other bits and pieces, after all, variety is good for the soul. Some books I'd recommend: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (Edmond Dantes is my favourite character of all time) Fight Club, Rant, Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk (just read them) Glamorama by Bret Easton-Ellis (this will actually blow your mind) The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon (simply enchanting) Conn Iggulden, Trudi Cannavan, Jim Butcher and Dan Abnett are a few other great writers I can think of right now. Marauders Series: currently undergoing re-writing 'Convictions' The beginning of the Marauders' Sixth Year - Complete 'Hesitation' The sequel to Convictions, enough said. - Complete 'Trust' Third in the series, the Marauders hit Seventh Year. - Now Being Rewritten (21/10/18) Other Marauders: 'Manu Forti' (With a Strong Hand) Set somewhere just after Convictions/at the beginning of Hesitation - Complete 'Sleight of Hand' Set during Sixth Year, before Lily and James reconcile - Complete First Wizarding War Era: 'Last Night' The death of an Order member leads to an outburst - Complete 'May Angels Lead You In' Sirius arrives at the Potter House to find it in ruins - Complete 'Better Man' A man lies in Azkaban, unable to remember his name, or who he even is - Complete - More being considered (new chapter added 11/1/2014) "Advice to Other Writers Well, enough from me for the time being, if you do read please review! A few of my favourite quotes that keep me going, for anyone who's interested: "Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter." - Oscar Wilde "You don't write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say." - F. Scott Fitzgerald "Does the walker choose the path or the path choose the walker?" - Garth Nix "If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world." - J. R. R. Tolkien "We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will." - Chuck Palahniuk One that I constantly think of: "This too shall pass." - Sanai Oh, and just remember: "Illegitimi non carborundum." |
