To Caine, it feels like the initial blast from a plasma-ray; a large invisible wave of sound & fury so powerful that initially it overwhelms all of your senses. It's only once you have landed, when you have begun to regain your senses, that you feel the burning, the searing of the torn flesh where the weapon has laid you open.

The simple fact was that nothing in Caine's training, nothing in his life experiences thus far had prepared him for HER, for the easy affection she offers and something akin to peace. It takes a little getting used to.

After the events of the movie, Jupiter and Caine have their first date. Warning: Sexual content, mature readers only, I don't want to be responsible for traumatizing anyone.

This is just a short post-movie drabble about how Jupiter comes to reconcile who she WAS with who she IS now. Caine, Stinger, and Kiza help her out with that. It will be two chapters. Now finished.
