The great kingdom of Baske, ruled by the tenacious Queen Riko, is known for being the home of the Royal Generation of Miracles, the queen's six sons whom are proficient in each of their chosen fields. For years, these brothers have loved and cared for their people, especially their dearest mother. But when Her Majesty declares that they should find love, the young princes briefly wonder if perhaps she is actually starting to go senile. And so, with reluctance, the hunting game for girlfriends begin. Unfortunately for them, Queen Riko thinks they're better off with men. Origins: Believe it or not, this was inspired by an AkaKuro fic named "The Royal Scandal" by UtsuhoTetsuya. I tried imagining how it would be like if the GoM were royal bros, and lo and behold, this was conceived! Really getting excited for this one. :D

Recently assigned as a holy matchmaker, angel Furihata Kouki descends to Earth and assumes a human identity to directly and effectively influence his targets' love lives. Unfortunately for him, high-level demon Akashi Seijuurou found him quite interesting and decides to... more or less make things more difficult for him. Origins: Back then, I had thought about making individual stories for each of my OTPs in their supposed work in the future. Then a little while later, I mused that Akashi was always seen as a demon, either literally or figuratively in other fics. Since AkaFuri was starting to grow on me, I imagined Furihata as an angel and decided I like the idea. Remembering that I had a similar idea for DNAngel back then, I decided to make Furihata play Cupid as well, and Akashi thwarting (lurking around) him. Then I just recycled my idea for the individual stories for my OTPs and made them Furihata's targets. 8D... But unfortunately, I'm still debating on whether to make this a massive one-shot or a multi-chaptered fic. Oh, and just so you know, I'm not trying to rip off GPS-OrangeWorld's "Strings & Cuts", okay? I'm a fan, after all. And this is quite different.

Story Status: The first scene has been thought of; the rest, still pending.

3) I'm Your Prize

The manager and sponsors of the Generation of Miracles--a popular boy group in Japan--had decided to start a "Win a Trip" event for charity and high ratings. Naturally, thousands of fans flocked to submit the best fanwork and dedication items to be able to spend summer vacation with their handsome idols as their dates. But no one, not even the GoM themselves, expected the winners to be a bunch of guys from one video game company. Origins: I blame those fics that had the GoM as a boy group. Plus, "The Exaggeratedly Perilous Journey of a Gay High School Romance", of course. Then the rest of the idea just came together when I imagined a music video of Takao, Kasamatsu, Himuro, Kagami, Furihata, and Sakurai singing "Kagerou Days" and being all rock star-ish and just wowing the GoM. Now you know. 8D

Story Status: Thought of the basic plot and the plot twist, already (Yes, there's a plot twist. :P). Other details are still in the works.

4) Well, Excuuuuuse Me, Your Highness!

Release Date: Unsure, but I really do wanna write this someday. Just think of the forthcoming adorableness that is chibi Aomine and chibi Kagami being childhood rivals. :D

Origins: Can't remember if this plot bunny just suddenly popped out of nowhere or I got inspired by something. But I do remember that I've read a shoujo manga called "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen" (Absolute Peace Strategy) before. It was about two royals from different kingdoms pretending to be in love so that the war will stop, but enough about that. It had this side story about the hero (Prince Johanne) and the heroine (Princess Euda) meeting when they were kids (but, of course, come present time, they actually don't remember that they've met back then XD), and their interaction was really amusing and adorable 'cause even as little innocent children, they were already at odds with each other. XD... I imagined little Prince Aomine and little Prince Kagami's first meeting like that, but even more hilarious and fluffier! Also, the story will continue up to their adolescence! :D

Story Status: Plot? Check. Draft? Nope.

5) Our Peculiar Family series

The Akashis and I: Ordinary salaryman Furihata Kouki never expected to find himself saving a little kid from a kidnapping one day--much less being successful at something, for once. As Fate may have it, not only is the adorable 6-year-old he saved a rich heir to an elite corporation, he also happens to be Akashi Seijuurou's precious son! The same Akashi Seijuurou whom had scared Furihata shitless from the moment they met years ago, mind you. It doesn't help that little Akashi Keitarou is now enamored with the unlucky salaryman. Dr. Carrot and the Hawks: Takao Kazunari was well-acquainted with hospitals. After all, that was where he first met his adopted son Masahiro, and where he and the boy would often spend their days together--as the child was born with a weak heart. That was also where he was reunited with the spiteful Dr. Midorima Shintarou, his former high school basketball teammate--who, even after all these years, still had no patience for Takao's jests. Unfortunately for him, both father and son are naturally tenacious once they like something--despite no blood relation--and will stop at nothing to get the crabby doctor to hang out with them. Origins: The countless single-daddy-and-child-meet-single-guy BL mangas I've read (and those two-single-daddies, as well). Also, the KnB fanfic "Taki" (Gaaaaaahhhh, the feels...). Anyways, this'll probably be a separate story series (one plot = one story entry, but they're all in the same universe, and you'll usually find other characters from the other stories making cameos and such). Don't worry, you'll know if the stories I post are a part of this series. Their titles will be like this: "Our Peculiar Family I: The Akashis and I", "Our Peculiar Family II: Dr. Carrot and the Hawks", etc. More often than not, each story can stand on its own, but I do encourage you to read the others. What I'm going to do is kinda similar to what lunaryu (if you're familiar with her work here in the KnB archive) did to some of her fics: she strung along her stories together as a series, but they can be stand-alones. Ah, also, this series is an AU, just to be clear. AAAAAAAAND, this doesn't have M-Preg, in case you were wondering. I'm okay with those stories, but I wanted these to be realistic, so no.

6) If You Hear the Seagulls Cry

Famous prosecutor Midorima Shintarou finds himself in danger as he ends up washed ashore on a barely-inhabited island near Japan with assassins targeting him. Fortunately, Mother Nature decides to spare him for a few days with a storm, but the lawyer is torn between being thankful and being pissed as he is now instead stuck with an annoying botanist named Takao Kazunari living on said island. Origins: Got the idea from a similar scene in a recently-popular religious soap opera here in my country. Famous person gets cut off from civilization due to someone's attempt at his life and a person living away from society helps them. Considering how I wanted it to turn out, I knew MidoTaka was the perfect OTP for this. ouo

7) The Boundary Between Immortal and Inhuman

Our world is just like how we imagine it in fantasy settings: filled with supernatural phenomena yet invisible to the mortal eye. One such group is the Generation of Miracles, a powerhouse squadron in Japan tasked to govern its netherworld. But then he gets a tenacious fan in the form of one Kise Ryouta, pretty-boy model--and suddenly, Yukio feels threatened by his mere presence. KiKasa. Oneshot. Rom-com.

I Don't Dance: Sakurai Ryou used to be a figure skater. Now he's coaching little kids at the local rink. Aomine Daiki used to be a reputable basketball player. Now he's begging Sakurai to teach him so he can win a bet. AoSaku. Oneshot. Rom-com.

Silver Suits You: Himuro Tatsuya hates second place. He's never let it be known, but he absolutely hates it. So if this purple-haired tall-ass tree thinks he can just pluck off Himuro's favorite de-stress snack from the shelf that easily, he's got another think coming. All These Medals And Yet: Kuroko Tetsuya, choreographer to Japan's top female figure skater, has a crush on hockey player Kagami Taiga. But when King Viktor's wiles leads them to saving his human crush and an obnoxious human king from drowning--which, in turn, leads them to making a deal with a sea witch to walk on land--Yuri finds that he's just about ready to admit that he's calling quits. Of course, the road taken wasn't easy AT ALL--Yuri had to sacrifice style for the sake of stats sometimes, and he couldn't sacrifice his sacred tiger boots for higher agility, no matter what! So he did NOT just traverse half a continent in a week, only to be told that he had to change his outfit into something more stylish before he could fight the enemy king. Pliroy. Oneshot. It had all started with a midnight skate amidst the snow and the ice and the moonlight. Newly-crowned, Ember Queen Mila of the fiery kingdom of Ardente has much to prove as the first female monarch by blood of her country. Through correspondence, she finds an interesting confidante in the mysterious Shadow King Altin of Qara, and by her coronation gala, a challenging endeavor in the somber Lord Otabek, Altin's emissary. Lord Otabek, for his part, finds the tenacious queen a tad bit troublesome--after all, how can he act as both the Shadow King and the emissary if Her Majesty takes up all his time? Origins: The Ember Queen x Shadow King concept was an original idea of mine years ago. It was inspired by S2Teennovelist's "The Frost King", a Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic where Yugi Mouto is a figure skater. Finding the image of fiery red hair dancing in the wind as a woman skillfully skates on the ice my kind of aesthetic, and the image of a powerful stranger watching the skater from the shadows my kind of romance, I gave birth to the Ember Queen x Shadow King original story. Unfortunately, I never got to write it, but discovering Otamila reminded me of it and hOLY SHIT THE SHIP FUCKING FITS IT LIKE A GLOVE. Mila, a redhead skater who happens to be Russian a.k.a. someone from a cold climate thus explaining the love for skating (Ember Queen was half-fire, half water, and loved to skate)? Check. Otabek, a mysterious and quiet guy who is tall, dark, and brooding handsome with the image of a knight (Shadow King's story requires him to be a warrior who earned the throne)? Check. Multiple and diverse characters of YOI from around the globe, fitting the original storyline's need for several kingdoms of elements and seasons? CHECK. There was no way around it--this concept was going to be an Otamila AU.

5) The Prince Who Said Rawr

Dispatched to the deepest recesses of their kingdom's forests, Sir Otabek Altin and Sir Yuri Plisetsky brave the dangers to rescue their King JJ's friend from another country--a young Prince Kenjirou Minami who was kidnapped by an evil wizard. They expected a fearsome creature guarding the keep where the prince was supposedly locked away, but when they only find a pint-sized talking dragon much too happy to discover people visiting his home, an aloof cat keeping the dragon company, and no prince in sight, they can't help but scratch their heads in utter befuddlement. There was a rumor about Seirin High School's gym. A ghost lurking in the shadows, always messing around with the basketball team. Whether or not it was a good thing that Kagami Taiga was chosen by this so-called "phantom player", no one really knew. Kagami himself wasn't sure either, especially after finding out that it was just some kid with low presence who was obsessed with milkshakes.

Origins: The Phantom of the Opera and Kuroko no Basuke, duh.

2) Have No Fear!

- For really good Full Metal Alchemist BL fanfics, try the author Winds of Water. She (he?) updates very slowly, but her stories are worth it. OvO

- For Harry Potter BL (and mostly TomRiddle/HarryPotter ones that make sense), try reading Paimpont’s works. She’s a revolutionary writer, that one. Maybe too revolutionary? XD

- If you prefer Yu-Gi-Oh BL, on the other hand, s2Teennovelist is a big name in that fandom. My OTPs for this particular fandom isn’t what she usually writes, but even then, her stories are so compelling that I can’t help reading even though I don’t ship the characters. She is that good. (Take care, though, if subversion of gender roles in same-sex ships matter to you. Teenie is adamant on gender roles. She writes about female empowerment well enough that you could ignore the reinforced roles, but she has the habit of using female endearments on the designated woman in the relationship so that might jar you a lot if you dislike those things...)
