but I take comfort in the fact that there will always be things beyond our comprehension that in the end will be devouring us anyway

knowing the limits of my flesh is the key to survival.

being human does not separate me from the fate you must all inevitably face, nor does my wife's otherworldly citizenship separate her from us all.

but what I take comfort in is that none of it will matter in the end.

because as this world dies all we'll have is each other.

but in the end, when we can no longer run, no longer fight, when we're old and grey, it will come for us.

and in time none of the petty grudges, religions, wars, angels demons, gods or devils will matter.

because there are things that dwell within the shadows.

no one can escape from that.
