Christ is our strength and shield. We can always call on Him when we're in danger or trouble. All we need is to open our hearts to Him, to accept the gift He gave us when He died. His death gives us eternal life, because it is God's free gift of love to His human creation. All we have to do is ask, and it's ours. We are justified by accepting the salvation Jesus provided. We are sanctified by living for Him. We are adopted as God's children, with the blessings and responsibility that come with that adoption. The gifts are fellowship with our Father, the ability to come into His presence unafraid, eternal life with Him in His heavenly city, and so much more. The responsibility is to tell other people, to let them know about Jesus and the effect He has in our lives. With Jesus, we are God's children. It our job to carry the family name, to show in our lives the love and goodness of the Lord. To share His Word. To tell others about the Gift. This our job, our calling. Through Christ we can do this. His love is what gives us strength, even when we are weak. Holy, Holy, holy is my Lord God and Father! Who can compare?
