Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter.

I'm a twenty-something law student working as a graphic designer, whose first love is really literature. Go figure.

Before all that, of course, I was just another Harry Potter fan who loved the series so much I just had to explore all the unwritten possibilities of Miss Rowling's rich, rich world. Hence, as you might notice from my scant list of favorites, I tend to favor characters that didn't have a lot of exposure in the books, if they had any at all. The plot can be simple, but the prose has to be beautiful and the characters - the characters have to come alive.

I never really appreciated the beauty of fan fiction until I started contemplating on the infinite number of possibilities open to fic writers. Here I get to raise "what if's" and actually answer them - little thought experiments that, at the end of the day, are actually a slow and often tantalizing excavation of what it really means to be human. I soon realized that, more than just being able to outline a sound plot, figuring out what drives a character, what their motives are behind their actions, or simply, understanding why a character is the way s/he is, is one of the most rewarding experiences writing fics offers.

So yes, most of these things I write are thought experiments of sorts (not that I've written a lot, although I really, really wish I could write more). I usually start out with a premise, that infernal, infuriating, but irresistible "what if," and there may or may not be faces or names attached to these what ifs from the beginning. And thus the journey begins. Dear reader, as you may have realized by now, you stand before the doorway to my imagination, to my endless possibilities and that quest for the essence of humanity. I humbly welcome you.

ADDENDUM: If you're not interested in any of my stories (the selection is short, I'm painfully aware), please do take a moment to browse through my favorites, at least. I'm pretty picky, and these are the best ones I've read so far - three-dimensional characters, beautiful (and grammatically correct) prose, and, most distinctly, fresh, original writing. If I were to recommend just a couple from my already short list, though, I'd say read "To Revel in the Roses," a Remus/Tonks story (I can't even describe it, just read it and thank me later), and "Birds," which is a Bill/Fleur one shot (a real eye-opener, too. Molly Weasley herself should have read it, I tell you). Yes, I know, I'm a bit biased for characters whose stories don't get told often. These two stories deserve more readers, honestly.

Please also browse through my even shorter Favorite Authors list. Some of them are L/J shippers, some of them write about the other Marauders. But if there's any common thread between all of them, it's that they are probably the best in the business, JKR aside, of course. These are the writers who write so well that I look forward to reading their original works some day.

HAPPY READING! :)

UPDATE (as of May 2016): For those reading Ceteris Paribus, I'm really sorry to say that the reason I've been so delayed in updating is that I've practically lost all my notes. My character essays. My plot outlines. Even plot bunnies for unwritten stories. And even original pieces I've written. I have a backup copy in my USB but they're in a file my new laptop doesn't recognise. It sucks. And what with work I haven't gotten round to fiddling with these files. But now that I've more time in my hands again, I will do my very best to have these files cracked. I just really need them badly to get on with my writing (and my life). Thank you dear readers for being ever so patient.
