Just to clarify something to all the Naruto FanFic writers. Raikiri and Chidori are exactly the same technique, there is no outside interpretation. Pages 78 through 86 of one of the Jump Anniversary Issues, Gai and Kakashi explain that Chidori is a hand chop, just a hand chop that's secrets lie in the almost impossible speed of its stroke and the immense chakra focused in the arm that transforms it into a blade that can cut through anything. Chidori is the formal name for this jutsu. Raikiri -lightning blade- earned its nickname because Kakashi once sliced lightning using this jutsu.
