I thought it was about time I gave out a few things about me but not too many - some things I want to leave to the imagination!

I'm John, I live in Hertfordshire and my age is a secret, but let's just say I'm probably WAY older than most of the other writers of Skins fanfics. I've always loved writing and wish I had actually chosen that as a career years ago instead of the boring, safe and secure career I have had up till now. I am, however , thinking of taking a break for a year or two to concentrate just on writing to see if I can be any good at it and maybe make some money out of it! That's why all reviews of my stories would be so valuable to me - even if they point out loads of faults and weaknesses!

I love all sports, especially football and cricket, music (from every decade, though I'm NOT saying how far back!) and languages (I speak French & German).

I also love cats and have two myself , one of which you can see above!

My favourite Skins characters are Sid & Michelle from Series 1 & 2 and Emily & Naomi (and little Fitch) from Series 3.

UPDATE TO PROFILE 6 DECEMBER 2009

Having recently concluded my two longest running Skins fanfics, I am now planning to take a bit of a break from writing until the New Year. In 2010 I intend to resume writing, possibly with an out and out comedy series or perhaps a psychological drama/crime thriller (something in the style of Wire in the Blood or Messiah?!). I shall be trying to get some ideas together for plotlines/characters/ themes etc in the next four to six weeks. If anyone has any ideas for something they would like to see me write, be it a plotline, a character or a theme I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to send me a personal message via the usual channels and I will definitely reply.

FURTHER UPDATE 7 APRIL 2010

At the risk of being accused of blatant sentimentality (and if I am, I don't give a damn), from today onwards this Profile Page is dedicated to my beloved cat Suzy (pictured above) who sadly had to be put peacefully to sleep yesterday to put her out of her misery after a short but devastating illness. She will be missed so much by me & my family but I shall keep her picture on this page in loving remembrance.

NEW UPDATE 10 SEPTEMBER 2012

My apologies to everyone who could be forgiven for thinking I had disappeared off the face of the earth recently, leaving my current fic 'My Lilltle Eye' in complete limbo. I have been gripped with Olympic & Paralympic fever these past 6 weeks and have had no time for any writing as all my spare time has seen me glued to the TV screen, cheering on our magnificent TeamGB athletes. Sadly, as most of you will know, this summer's superb festival of sporting success is now at an end, leaving the way clear for me to revert to my second love, after sport, which is of course writing.

I shall be updating My Little Eye with a couple of new chapters in the coming 7-10 days and I hope this promise will persuade those of you who had virtually given up on the story to return to it, re-acquaint yourself and then follow the remaining chapters as I set about bringing it to a dramatic conclusion in the weeks ahead!! Apologies once again for leaving you all in the lurch without a word of warning and I hope I can at least make the wait worth your while.
