Yo. I am- drum roll please- the ONE... the ONLY... Birdie.

...I'm really nothing too special, I only stuck the "One and Only" in front of my name because there were 36 other Birdies and I wanted to feel special.

So I jumped on board this whole fanfiction business in the winter of '02 - (Good night, I'm old!)- with a Lord of the Rings epic story. In retrospect? it's not the best I've written. But it was the best thing I've ever done, and ever since I have continued to publish on fanfiction. I'm a writer at heart, and I devote almost all my time to the English language and its pursuits. Save, of course, the time I devote to the french language. Il n'y a aucune langue aussi belle que francais, sauf peut-etre le langue des anges.

But I digress. Most of my other writing is journalism and analysis. The thing I find so liberating about fanfiction is the ability to write a story with the luxury of pre-created characters and ideas. Though I do write original stories, I don't feel comfortable publishing them on the internet, so instead I experiment. Particularly with Romance, because the action and mystery stuff I can do. Story of my life;-)

I appreciate any and all feedback, but don't feel pressured to write reviews. Unless there is constructive criticism you don't have to feel tied to writing "love your story keep writing."
