I'm jayiin.

I sometimes think of myself as an internet mystic, exploring the ineffable qualities of the internet and trying to become one with it (aka -- no social life). But I spend too much time in my own mind; I get bored, and decide to share what I found there.

I'm an avid reader and writer and I live my life with a great love of story, imagination and a belief in the necessity of make-believe. Despite being 30, I've never quite grown up enough to stop being a big kid. I still know that one of these days I'm going to grow up and live on a starship. Or rescue a princess from a dragon.

I live in the gaudy rhinestone on the Bible belt known as Austin. I'm that guy no one else wants to be but is afraid they'll turn into. You know - the one folk tuck into their closets and bring out for special occasions or when they want the in-laws to go home early.

I'm a writer and I even admit it in public on most days. I love fanfiction, professional wrestling and I've never played Super Mario Brothers. I'm a blue-collar webmaster and a fat man in love with a skinny girl. I'm allergic to drama (gives me hives) and I'm terrified by reality TV. I'm not afraid of politics, sex or religion but I hide in fear from fashion.

Science fiction, fantasy, space opera and fandom inspires me; (most) manga and anime frighten me and I have more books than common sense.

I'm owned by a dog, two (store) cats and a girlfriend, who loan me to my boss because she gives them cookies.
