Now a poem that made my Language teacher cry. I don't know why though.

The sun brings light and warmth. It shines hope and love into the hearts of its believers. Even those who have had a bad day, or hit a rough time can find a twinge of hope.

But what of those who loose all hope? Who turn away all love & warmth, who knowingly leave the sun’s trust and go to the darkness?

Those hide in the shadows the sun creates. Behind a tree, next to a house, or beside a car. They move like mindless dogs trying to sneak up on the sun. After all, the sun never sees the shadows. It makes them, but does not know it. The shadows move closer and closer in their minds, but never actually get closer. They are stuck trying to attack the light.

So they move from shadow to shadow unless they are once again touched by even the smallest bit of light and the warmth is once again in their hearts.
